In broken English, claimed to be from Microsoft support. Since I had a "legal" copy of Windows it was his job to fix all the errors my machine had been reporting to their servers. He wanted me to turn the machine on and give him access to it.
As it happens I have six windows machines, four smart phones, a uVerse access and a DSL Backup working off my network. They are all protected and working fine.
This was obviously a fake since the spoofed number is from Minnesota.
this number called me twice today and i'd never answered and they never leave a message, i'd do a reverse number lookup and its not even listed. now i see that its just a possible terrorist trying to hack into our computer system saying they work for microsoft. how can i report this number and what is the government doing about this threat?
I received a call from this number from someone who couldn't understand anything I said requesting information about my Microsoft programming on my computer. When I asked who he was and what company he was with, he wouldn't give his name but stated he was with Ringgold programming. I think that's what he was saying. I told him I couldn't understand what he was saying, he kept repeating my name. When I called the number back it said that it was a non working number.
got a call from this number saying that theyre from microsoft and got a warning on my pc about a virus. i already knew something was up since i dont own any microcoft pcs in the house. so i played along and he was telling me to look for something on my keyboard. finally i said "i have a mac." and he goes "oh nevermind then. i said "if i dont have microsoft how did you get a warning saying i had a virus?" he couldnt say anything after that.

I just received a call from a man with an Indian accent, calling himself Michael from microsoft tech support. He had me open the command prompt and type in assd, then he read off a long line of characters that were in my command prompt.
He wanted me to give him access to my pc so he could get rid of an infection blocking my updates. When I told him I would take care of it myself he said soemthing to the effect of "well don't blame microsoft if your computer breaks and...."
Lately I've had some trouble with adware that I can't find or get rid of so I'm a bit freaked out. I think this person is behind it and immediately turned my machine off. Gonna wipe my hard drive.
