They call consistently 3 times a day, even though I blocked their number to go straight to voicemail. You would think if the number keeps going straight to voicemail, they would stop calling. The first time, I did pick up, as it was a local number from my childhood state, and was concerned it may have been a family member calling from another number because of an emergency. When I took this call, I was told I had medical bills due, when I have not been to a doctor, hospital, or any variant for many years, and all visits I did attend those many years ago were paid, I have the letters confirming so, so that was lie #1. I decided to take the second call, because I used to work in an industry that helped people deal with scammers like this calling them constantly, and have a good idea on how to find out just how big the scam they are pulling is. During the second call, I was told I owed a lot of money in student loans, funny, because I did not go to college, I took my GED and got a job at the age of 17, to help my mom keep a roof over her's, mine, and my brother's head, so I did not have the privilege of going to the school of my dreams, even though I was accepted, so there are no student loans in my name, and there never has been, that was lie #2. On to the 3rd call, and this is when I blocked them, because they started with the 3 calls a day, and that is not an exaggeration, I have the records, my phone records all calls, even from blocked numbers. So, the 3rd time, and keep in mind, twice, I spoke to the same woman and she acted like we didn't have an entire conversation about me not having outstanding medical bills, she did not even give a different name, so, I was told that I was now the winner of some miracle lottery I never signed up for, and frankly, let's be real here, "secret lotteries", they don't exist! Despite my obvious intelligence regarding what these people were doing, they then started treating me as though I were an idiot, because they didn't like that I found them out, that I recorded their calls, that I recorded every time they called, every name and every claim they made, so they resorted to harrassing me continuously, after I started playing the recorded calls and voicemails with the same number claiming different debts, they hung up, out of the fear that I found them out, I'm assuming, although I'm sure it's not the first time, as I know most of us victims are NOT idiots, we are simply victims, perceived to be stupid, by people who are stupid enough to leave the same phone number and names, and claiming to be from different companies. I have had enough, so i just called them back to let them know that I will be filing charges, and it looks like they just left me another voicemail to add to my case. DO NOT PICK UP CALLS FROM THEM, PLEASE! Do not stress yourself out with it, do not believe a word they say, I would be happy to help anyone who has questions on how to record calls, block numbers and still be able to record the amount of times they called, etc. Hopefully this site allows you to leave a comment, as I obviously do not put my information on websites freely, but would live to help anyone who needs it, please reply, and I will help in any way I can!
