Caller name: Redemption Center in Montreal
I just received a call on my cell number from this company. It came up as the 604-678-5999 but the lady said she was calling from the Redemption center in Montreal and it was not a sales call. I'd apparently "pre-qualified" for her "offer" of $100 petro can card and plane tickets buy frequent use of my debit and credit card?? Do they really have that info?
I told her to hurry it up and get to the point, She did require $ just under 2 bucks to send....At that point I was done. Never interested anyway but wonder where they got my name and cell #?

Just received call from this woman at the 604 678-5888 number. The connection was really horrible and sounded like there was a crowd of people in the background which is what I told her. I told her to call back cause i couldn't hear her the call was choppy and my voice was echoeing. She actually was quite polite and nice. Then I tried to call the number back and just got a dial tone each time. Read the other posts and realize it is a scam.
I have been receiving so many of these calls in the last week from several different numbers. Mine I believe is from a dam facebook link somebody posted and I mistakenly clicked it and put my information in the fields for a free walmart card and ever since I noticed I am getting tons of calls from US/Canada, extremely annoying jerks they call at all hours and several times a day some of them.
Caller name: Montreal Redemption Centre
The voice was not recorded and asked for my son by both first and last name. I asked who was calling and was told, "The Montreal Redemption Centre." As he has friends in Montreal, I thought one of them must be calling from work. The caller hung up before I could hand the phone to my son. When I checked on the last number called, a local Belleville, Ontario number was identified, not the phone number listed on this webpage, but the same scammer according to the name given to me.
Caller name: Sam
I got a call from a 1 (416) 360-0172
Ontario, Canada but said that the company was called "Redemtion Centre " from Montreal. She mentioned $100 petro card and 2 plane tickets! ....,,,,scam? Weird huh!! Don't know how they got my number...
Caller name: redemption centre from montreal

Caller name: Redemtion center
Just recieved this call a moment ago but through my girlfriend cell to look for me?! I was wtf at first and i kept on listening. She had a heavy accent and said its a redemption centre from canada. I was entitled to 100$ petro gift card and 2 las vegas airtickets(because i used my credit and debit freq) and all i needed to do to get them is pay shipping and handling. When i ask them why not call mycell phone , she said i only have your house number and this number on file and i kept questioning her (for fun haha) . Amazingly, she gor patience but when i question her why and you got a website and she said they do and they have been working on it for 20 years and more... She referred me to www.favouritecity.com.. Wtf got on and its about taxs and the domain is up for sale. I asked her for name and she kept avoiding it and my phone got dc, she called back rudely asking if i hung up on her lol. In the end, i told her im not interested. She was too fed to deal with me. The funny thing was she kept referring me as a SIR which im not, i was dealing with a sore throat so my voice was very deep, I asked her does my.file indicated im a guy? She said yes. LOL and ironically she did call my cell pnce but as "TD Credit protection thing - buy a software to prevent fraudactivities" I remember accent and how she pronunce my name. Anyways , scammers will do anything to get your info.
Got this # this morning from "Microsoft Support Centre," the same a******s who try to tell you that your computer is infected with a virus. They then walk you through how to get rid of it, at a price, of course. I believe these people are actually evil. They have been doing this scam for quite some time now, but I guess people are giving them their credit cards, because they keep calling.
Caller name: montreal redemption center
These people have called me several times, even after I have asked.them not to call. they claim to be calling from Montreal but yet a Vancouver area code. offering me petro canada 100.00 gift card and as soon as I heard this I asked they not call me anymore, and yet they keep calling, ggetting really pissed off with this bs...
.shut these scammers down please, thanks
This number called me at 9 on Sunday morning. I was still in bed and just FINALLY drifting off to sleep after a horrific night with a splitting headache. I didn't recognize it, so I googled it and came to this page. Please fine these jerks or throw them into a volcano or something. Never let them near technology again. I don't want their calls at any time, on any day, but any time before noon on a Sunday is inexcusable. There's got to be a special place in h**l for people who do this sort of thing.
Caller name: idk
well I got a call on my house number, this person was faking an asian accent was trying to get in contact with me... it sounded as if a prank call but I was crepped out because when I called back the line went dead... I googled this number and found out i wasnt the only one dealing with this.. I wonder who could this be. maybe its a call from and app or something?
Just got same call. Very weird accent, and said she was calling from The Redemption center. Not where tho. No # showed up on my phone-unknown name and #. Told her I was n't interested as I don't know of redemption centers and asked how she got my # as it is unlisted and with the Canadian no call list. After saying that she hung up. I was on call waiting so didn't know who it was. Didn't matter as nothing there. If you get their # you can call the 1-866-580-3625, and report them. Lady there said to act like you are interested and get some info, or say busy but can call them back if they give you #.
Caller name: Redemption Centre
Harrassment before 9:00am on the phone, it is unacceptable, some migrants voice on the other end of the line, whether the call is even done from within Canada, who knows? Heavy accented, next time they call I will tell them to get a real job, and stop harrassing people. Don't come to this country 'cause you are not welcome, when I hear Redemption Centre, I think it is some religious bullshit, but they don't even harrass people like this piece of work
Caller name: Credit Card Phishing Fraud
This is a fraud campaign currently active in Canada using a series of VOIP numbers. The objective is to obtain your credit card number and drain your account.
If you attempt to "opt out" your number will be confirmed as live and added to a suckers list for repeated future calls.
accented female asking to speak to owner of the phone number she called. Told her not available. Asked me if I was the Mrs., Told her no. Then she asked for the person's wife by name. Told her she is not available either. She then said she would call back and hung up. Tried calling number, but the line was dead. Get calls from this number several times a day. Want it to stop. They are calling a business and no-one here is ever going to talk to them. Good thing I now recognize the number and field the calls for my boss.
Caller name: Redemption centre
Got my second 6:16am call from "Redemption Centre" my husband said the line was poor and she then hung up, as we advised her it was 6 am!
I am sure that the DNC (Do Not Call) list website is not working, they probably hacked it and called everyone!
I had the call from the Montreal Redemption centre claiming they would send me all sorts of stuff. I let her talk; I often couldn't make it out and had her repeat herself...she did not seem to enjoy that. Anyway she went on and on about what I would get and that it was only 1.99. I've figured out where she got my info, because when she was 'verifying' my address, no apt # and I did not correct her, and when she was verifying my name she used a short-hand name I use when I've signed up for something online, newsletter et al. Also I only give my home number to these things and loyalty cards et al, so I rarely get calls on my cell. When you fill out info online and loyalty, Scene It etc, unless the business is wholly owned by Canadians, the list of info you've entered is for sale. Canada has strict laws about that, but only for Canadian businesses. Sigh... So she called my by this short-hand name (that would sound legit to them) and I hung up. Actually while I was on the phone with her I looked up this thread, so thanks ya'll!!!
Caller name: Thick accent
Woman called and said they are receiving feedback on my computer and there is a problem. When I heard her accent, my first thought was she was calling from a call centre in India. I told her i hadn't made any phne call regarding problems on my computer. She confirmed that i did not call her, but she has receiving information re a problem with my computer. When i said to her "...sounds like a scam to me" she hung up. I checked the phone number on my call display and phoned it back, but it doesnt ring on the other end, it just automatically disconnects. My guess is they have their line blocked from receiving incoming calls.
When i receive these scammer calls on my cell phone, i add the number to my contacts and give it the contact name "Scammer #__". I am starting to get a collection of these!
Woman with strange accent (Caribean or African) with a North American name from Visa/Mastercard "Redemption Center" indicated my good history with debit/credit card entitled me to $100 Petrocan card & 2 airline ticket vouchers, as well as discount offer for various stores/businesses. All I'd have to do is pay $1.99 or Shipping/Handling. Really? If you can give me $100 for gas plus whatever $ for airline ticket purchases, you *still* want a piddly $1.99 for S&H? Umm, I think you want my CC info don't you? I just said I wasn't interested, twice, but she kept talking so I hung up...
That, and that this phone # seems to be used by other dodgy callers per this site, gives me confidence that this was indeed, a phishing call...
Caller name: redemption center
they have called me repeatedly for about a month now .. at least 2-3 times a week. every time, they ask for my mom because my phone is registered under her name but each time i tell them shes not here and they hang up before i can tell them to not call back!!! please stop them from bothering people!!!
Very heavy accent tells me to go to my computer and says he is from your Windows provider. I need to press certain keys--apparently some kind of security prevention that someone is trying to hack into my computer. Good thing I didn't follow the prompts.
they keep calling even though I have asked them not to.Call at all times of the day and night. How do you stop these scammers?
I have two elderly ill parents and always think it might be them calling for help only to have the redemption Center calling about their latest scheme .
Caller name: Fast Heal
I suckered in on the Microsoft pitch. I gave these scammers $299.99 and my cc # for what I thought was Microsoft protection. I am looking for others who might wish to put a class action on this company apparently called Fast Heal. Does anyone have their Address.
Again same thing a trail discount card and $100 in petrocards because I'm a loyal customer on my credit card. All I need to do is pay a $1.95 shipping fee... Freaky thing is they had my address (minus the unit number at least); I am unlisted and on the do not call list. Plus they called my cell not my home number. As soon as they asked me to provide info from my master card or visa I told him I wasn't comfortable with that and it sounded sketchy. I then asked which bank he represented and he gave a generic..."oh the one your visa, MasterCard or American Express is with". Right.... So told him I wasn't interested. He offered to send a recording of our coversation and let me talk to the supervisor but i was pretty done.
Caller name: "Edward" ...but not really
They are from India, claiming to be from Windows Software CEntre, and using this number as a routing number, I suppose. They want information from my PC, and they want to sell some service to fix my computer remotely, since they claim it is sending them reports of malicious software. I kindly told the operator that I understand he needs the job, and that I am not angry, but... at which point he told me to go f**k myself, and hung up.
These people phone me CONSTANTLY. Every few days. They are always from India, and a couple of them have admitted it to me, after I told them I knew. I usually tell them I hope they find a more rewarding job, and until now every single one of them has been grateful and thanked me excessively for my kind words... before probably going back to work with more calls. :-) But I try.
Give the people a break. They are desperate. But it would be nice to put an end to the scam, anyway.
Just got a call this evening from "Unknown" number from a woman claiming to call from the Redemption Centre in Montreal. She said I am being made some offers because I am such a great credit card customer. Something about 2 plane tickets to "sunny Florida" and a $100 gift card. When I asked if they had a website she said "yes, I"ll give it to you after I tell you about the offer". I said I would like it now. She said I'll have to get it from my Supervisor. I said okay I'm on the internet right now and would like to view the website. Then she hung up. SCAAAAAMMMMMMM
Caller name: Fyn Hudson
I just received a call on my cell number from this company. It came up as the 604-678-5999 but the lady said she was calling from the Redemption center in Montreal and it was not a sales call. I'd apparently "pre-qualified" for her "offer" of $100 petrocan card and plane tickets buy frequent use of my debit and credit card?? Do they really have that info? I told her to hurry it up and get to the point, She did require $ just under 2 bucks to send....At that point I was done. Never interested anyway but wonder where they got my name and cell #?
Caller name: A male voice
This low life has been calling me for quite some time now. He/She just doesn't stop! I'm in BC Canada right now, in the lower mainland and I think I might file a police complaint and if they don't do something I'm probably going to start a petition to track this guy/girl down. I'm sick of it. Blocking the number doesn't work either like others have tried too. I'll start the petition on change.org since I've seen a lot of people on numerous sites complaining about this number since 2011. It's ridiculous.
Caller name: Austin
Austin called earlier in the day, I was out, the number was on the call display. I was going to return the call, but got busy. The number looked kinda like one of those telemarketer numbers. Anyhow, Austin called back about 1800hrs and I answered. He had an accent, like Filipino or something. He sure talked fast, like a machine gun. I picked out words like Windows, Computer, Warnings, Office, etc. He really spoke too fast to understand completely. I knew what his little game was all about. I tried to interrupt him, finally after some very LOUD and FIRM "Excuse Me" from my end, he stopped talking long enough for me to tell him "Look Bud, I DON'T have a computer" *Silence*
Just got called from a woman, who said the have a report that my computer is infected. I told her that is not possible and then she said why is that? I just said it was not possible and then she asked, "You don't have a computer" and I said, no I don't. She hung up on me.
Heavily accented east indian male caller calls me and says that he is from Microsoft USA and says I have some computer problems with malware and wants me to tell him how many computers I have in the house ( In the background I can hear another caller listening in on the call ) and wants me to access the computer used most since it has reported malware , I told him that I have a antivirus, antimalware program that catches all this nasty stuff , but he says that this is uncatchable with software ?? and he will walk me through my computer how to manually remove it from the software etc etc
BS Scam ,
they are calling from BC ,
Note: Microsoft tech support is in Washington State .
