I answered to see what this call was about ( what scam?) it was a lower credit card rate . I pressed 1 ... To speak to "AN AGENT " when she answered ... I said please take my number off your list ! And she HUNG UP IMMEDIATELY.
Hopefully my request will me met ! Highly doubtful !
i believe these numbers are precursors (robots)... they call you to see if you'll pick up or not. if you are a person that picks up , you are placed into a "this person picks up calls from unidentified numbers" list. then low and behold... you begin getting calls from the telemarketers.
Unsolicited calls to our private number are all ignored and blocked because we now have an audible call screening utility on our phone set.
I have no reservations about a rude response to a rude marketing tactic because they have tried to turn the ownership of my convenience into theirs. All other electronic media gets to charge a fee for advertising that pays for the cost of that media.
I would like to have a code that could force a $1.00 nuisance fee onto a telemarketer's phone bill, with the proceeds donated to my charity.
Caller name: a so-called "Austin"
Some "lower rate credit card scammer". Sarcastically I said sure, give me a card, actually give me 10 cards too! As he realized I was LYING he hung up and said "f**k you"....
Wow, I am so sad, I hope my family still gets their credit cards.....LOL
REPORTED to Bell Canada, and the RCMP as well
Caller name: no name
Received call from the # above. No name shown on the Call Display. No answer. Have started receiving calls like this lately,
Even received another this morning from "TD Bank" on the Call Display, but this one did not show a phone #. Answered the call and they hung up. Weird! What's the point of calling and then hanging up if you're a telemarketer. Are they just verifying it's a valid # they are calling, like spammers do with email if you reply? And why do Telco's allow and support this?
People who program Robocalls or real people making these calls. If you are one of the people that do this for a living (temp or full time), you need to look in the mirror each day and ask yourself a serious question. Is this REALLY the best you can do with your life??
How about putting in a little effort out? Do something positive in the world for once. Gah!
