I am SO FED UP with this outfit. They have used any number of telephone numbers - my call blocking service is full. Believe they random dial to find out for someone else when someone will answer their phone. I never do . . . until today. Received a voice message telling me to enter my 10 digit phone number, starting with the area code, in order to be placed on their DO NOT CALL list. No, I have them on MY do not call list. This message was repeated twice with the admonishment that if I didn't enter all my numbers, starting with the area code, they wouldn't be able to place me on their do not call list. Humbug. What good does any state agency do about these fraud practices? What good does a do not call list do when they simply ignore it? I pay for an unlisted number - lots of good that does for me, right? I am fed up.

This line is probably a PI calling under false pretext, and, likely someone hired by an insurance company to snoop and harass you. If you have people calling you like this, they are well aware of the DO NOT CALL list. They will use CALLER ID spoofing with things such as DELVRY CHK as well. They try to ensnare you to pick up the phone for something important. The reason why there is no caller on the other end is because they are snoops. Keep in mind that cops, crooks, telemarketers, and shady businesses do this as well; however, when there is no answer that is a good indication they are snoops not someone trying to sell you something. Also, note that insurance companies also have enough of your personal information to call businesses that you deal with, access your accounts via backdoor and false pretext access, and to hack into your eMail and your phone as well (another reason these snoops call you is to listen in on your phone line or hack into your phone system if you have one). These are crooks, make no mistake about it, and, many cops like to do PI work as well, which means never leave out the possibility of a dirty cop. CALLER ID can be spoofed as well. Also, don't forget about CIA and FBI crooks as well. Welcome to the global spy network designed to snoop on everyone everywhere.
