weird woman asked for me by name. I asked who's calling she said they were doing a survey. I asked again who's calling the woman said, "o.k. I'll make a note of that, o.k." Then I hung up. I am going to watch my phone bill for a bogus charge because the call was ridiculously disjointed and the woman made no sense.
Been getting calls that I didn't answer at reasonable hours. Then this morning (May 13 2013) they called at 6:08 am. Now I'm going for the throat. I have just complained to the FTC and the Local Sheriff. This is nonsense. I was asleep when they called. Like most, I don't answer calls I don't recognize. Next time they call I will answer with my boat horn. Jerks!
Caller ID showed LifeGiving Moments. I answered and caller asked for my spouse by his first name. When I advised he wasn't available, caller began to speak to me and asked for permission to give 4-question survey. I realized that this was actually a very sophisticated robo-call and gave permission to get further information for complaint. Questions related to child-appropriate viewing on platforms other than TV and questioning desire of "parents and grandparents" to get "rating" information similar to TV/movie ratings. After last question (I answered "yes" to all), caller thanked me for "agreeing with us" and asking for permission for someone from "Stepping Stones" to call, ID'g them as "supporters of our efforts." I'm curious to see what the scam is and will report this to our local authorities.
I got a call from this number and the only reason I answered is I have family in Phoenix. They asked me for me by first name. I was concerned thinking something happened to a family member then I realized this was some survey I hung up. Seems like a scam to me. Due to the nature of new scams I hang up on them immediately or do not answer. Do not call registry apparently does not work anymore.
This caller stated her name "Amanda" and she was from Life Giving Women and it is listed this way on my caller ID. I normally don't answer these calls but I was in a differant room. She said she wasn't selling anything and started with a question regarding what or how does television affect my children or grandchildren. When I answered the second question, the line goes dead. I tried calling back the number and it says it isn't in service. How can that be? How do we stop these nonsense calls. I am on the no call list yet I continue to receive these calls. I compare it to junk mail!!
Got a call at night. Asked for me by name. She was asking if I want to have control over what my children or grandchildren watch on TV. Unfortunately, she caught me by surprise and I answered the question. She immediately hung up. I think she was trying to find out if I was a parent or grandparent. Very creepy.
