Caller name: James Murphy, Dextar Cruz, Glen burnie md

Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

James Murphy is not for real i spoke with him for like 26 mins he admitted, after much cussing and then calming down, that he was in "the business." I called and harassed him all day and he also used the name Dexter or Daxter Cruz. He said he would be changing the (410) 846-0255 number in a few days and that he would block my number so that tells me he does that regularly. Also he must have access to some kind of information data base because he was able to tell me the names of people who used to have my number. Hope this helps.

I received a vm from this caller. The caller had a very strong accent and threatened that I need to call back ASAP in regards to IRS tax fraud. In addition, that if I ignored the call that further action will be taken against me including jail time. Glad I looked the number up and found all this info.

I didn't recognize the number on my cell phone, so I did not answer. The party left a message and I could not understand one word until he began laughing while trying to leave the call back number. Heavy Indian accent, saying he was from the IRS and to call back immediately due to an "illegal problem". If not "Good luck to you". I reported it immediately. Chuckles needs to get it under control if he wants anyone to take him seriously! I hope everyone who has posted here has also reported their experience as there is strength in numbers!

A man by the name of "Roger" claimed to be an agent from the a Internal a Revenue Service. He had a heavy accent and left a message on my voicemail on Saturday 5-31-14 stating that I needed to call him immediately. He stated that if I did not call him back, good luck to me because it will be a bad situation. I called back the 585-633-1792 and it stayed busy. I was never able to get through. However, "Roger" called me again this morning 6-2-14, 3 times and left a voicemail message. I answered the 3rd call to see what he was going to say. He told me that he was from the Internal Revenue Setvice and that I owed them money. I told him that I knew that I did not owe any money. He told me that I could contact "Dexter Cruz" at 585-633-1792 and he will go over everything with me and prove I owe the IRS money. I told him that I know this is a scam and to never call me again or I will report them. They didn't try to call me back. If this number calls you it is a scam. The real IRS contacts people by mail. Don't give these people any info and report them.

Got the IRS phone call this AM, looking for me and wanted to talk to me personally, when I asked what about,.. the Pakistani/Indian/ "--- ----" said the IRS, "etc.etc,.etc"( said with the same accent Yul Brunner used in "The King and I"(,..and I responded, 'Gee that's funny, I WORK for the IRS, know we don't make phone calls, and with the latest of all budget cuts,..know d**n well we don't work Saturday,... But I will take your reported number and report it to our State AG",..I got kinda a silence, and added "I'm sure you'll be hearing from them shortly" and hung up right after I added "A--H---! You know the old saying one good scam deserves another! But I may very well get a call from the ACLU stating I violated their rights and acted in a bigoted manner,...And this was the second one,..the 1st was from a local Dunkin Donuts location. Can you imagine? It could be the same people used as tech reps when we call asking for help with our confusors.

So, I can tell from all these comments that you've posted about an Indian guy calling you, well mine was a bit different. It was a recorded message, sounded robot like, not an actual person. This machine was saying that they have time sensitive information and that I need to call this number. NOPE. Also said that it's name was officer something ( I wrote something bc i just don't remember, have the memory of a goldfish)

Very aggressive man with a heavy Indian accent claiming to be an IRS agent called two days in a row. When I asked for more information, he became angry which made me angry. He said if I did not cooperate the police would come in 45 minutes and put me behind bars. I responded "good please call the police!", and hung up. If he calls again, I will inform him that I have reported him to the IRS, the local Police, and posted information about him on the Internet.

Same deal. Thick Eastern European accent that I could barely understand saying there's an important issue with my taxes and that I should contact him immediately. He also threatened that if I did not contact him, I'm defaulting my defense in whatever plays out. Obviously a scam, but still scary they have my name and number. Got the call on May 15. How are they still being allowed to operate under this number when it's all over the internet that it's a scam?

I just received a message from what they claimed to be the I.R.S , I called back and was told that there were three charges againts me, and that I was going to be arrested and all property was going to be seized, including credit cards, my rights was read to me, I started to shake and cry, thought I was going to have a heart attack, I was told that I owed money to the I.R.S And that I was stealing from them, I then told him, this is a big mistake, and started to cry, and explained how could I owe money, when I have not even worked for over four years, he then said o.k. and that he would call back in fifteen minutes, he did have an indian accent. I understand that there are people all over the world that are desperate for money, but this is cutting the cake so thick, it is so wrong, what if I had a heart attack, what then? As it is I am still shaking and crying about this, I only found that it was a scam, when I looked up the phone number. What a bunch of scammers and liers, hope they get arrested for doing this to people and my-self.

Left Voicemail in heavy accent, claiming to be an IRS agent, asking for urgent response to resolve a tax matter. Ended with a warning, "do not ignore this message".

I hope people realize that official IRS business is never conducted in such a manner, if something is real, you will get notice by mail. Also you will generally be able to cross reference any number you are being asked to call with the IRS website.

Also was told to call Dexter Cruz, IRS agent, to speak about my "tax irregularities." I called this number, and it was busy, and then I checked the internet to see if this was a scam. Even though it seemed dodgy, one always thinks the IRS is a gov't agency you don't want to dismiss. I don't understand how this person can still be using this same number with this many complaints.

A guy name Dexter Cruz called me yesterday stating that he was from the IRS and there was an issue with my recent tax return. I told him I did not believe him. He replied that I should call his supervisor, a " Karen Johnson at extension 585-633-1814."

First of all, the IRS will never call you on the phone about an issue. They mail you a form explaining the problem and expect you to send in your check if you make an error on your return.

Second, the federal government of the United States hires only US citizens. This guy's accent was so thick I could barely understand him even though he was speaking English!

I called this number 585 633 1792 and he explains him everything about how i owe taxes, that there was a lawsuit against me. When i told i wasn't aware and there was no way i could escape the lawsuit. He then asked me that i could to pay up the amount i owed in 1.5 hours via a tax pay voucher. When i went to the bank he also told me not to tell the bank officials that my a/c was going to be seized and simply tell me its for a urgent emergency. He told me to be on the phone all this time as our conversation was getting recorded. I asked the bank officials if they had actually received any request to seize my a/c's from IRS. The bank warned me of the scam and this is when i actually hung up the phone. This is a SCAM!!
