User Complaints for 571-308-7951
I have been receiving these calls from a woman with a heavy Indian accent. He/they call four or five times a day and I tell them to stop calling. I ask how they get my number since it is a private number. I never get a response. The man on the other end is insisting that I will receive medical compensation for a recent surgery. I tell him that I have not had surgery in years and to stop calling me. He keeps calling anyway. If I don't answer, he does not leave a message, but keeps calling back. I need this to stop because I am about ready to get rid of my telephone! This is harassment and there should be a way to make that company pay my monthly phone bill. I receive more of these calls than regular calls lately. Help!!!
Caller name: unknown caller
Calls several times a month. Caller ID shows number,571-308-7951, but says "unknown caller". Home is occupied by 2 elderly people, one of whom is a cancer patient. The caller disturbs sleeping cancer patient which angers the other occupant They would like these calls to stop. Nothing is ever said, no message is ever left. Appears to be just harassment.
They call, wait for answering machine to answer, don't leave a message, hang-up and call again, let the phone ring 4 times, then hang up and do it again. No messages. Another page indicates someone is having this number show up on the caller id, even though the actual owner of the real phone number is an elderly resident in Virginia.
Caller type unknown, but I suspect it is a political survey as another number, 202-760-4537, started calling me FAR too frequently RIGHT after I did not answer calls from this 571 number.
As I did, if you want them to stop, register your number with the national do not call registry online. If they call again, file a complaint at the same site. Answer the calls if you get a chance and immediately say "I want to be put on your 'do not call' list. If you keep calling, I will report you to the Federal Trade Commission." They may STILL try to get you to take the survey, but say "NO!"
