This number has called many times. I answer. The heavily accented voice on the other end identifies himself as Andrew. I play along with him but tell him I can't get to my computer. He always calls back. Finally I called him a criminal. He hung up but called me back 3 times just seconds between calls to call me an idiot and a*****e.

This is such an OLD scam. They call, claiming to be from Microsoft or Apple's computer management division. They say that while on line you have picked up a virus, spyware, or some other type of malicious script and it is sending them messages, but if you let them log on to your computer (remote access), then they will fix it.
Whatever you do...DO NOT, give them access to your computer. Your computer will be turned into one of their computer routers or system hubs, or the information will be stolen, or they'll install ransom-ware or another type of inappropriate software. Microsoft does not call you! Apple does not call you!!
If you are not computer literate, then find a reputable local computer repair shop and have them use the latest software to scan your computer.

lady calls herself Giada , called said there was a problem with my computer, said she was with Microsoft; I told her, I had requested that they not call me at my home.
She said there was still a problem with my computer. I did not request help, this is the fourth time I have received calls about my computer, from people claiming to be microsoft. All four times the people speaking had definite Indian accents. The phone ID did not read Microsoft. I do not appreciate being called by scam artists. I am on the do Not CAll List!

This is the computer scam where they are calling from your "IT department." I asked what company he worked for and when he finally coughed up a name (unintelligible) I advised him that I had no business relationship with that company, he did not have permission to call me and asked him to take me off the list. He told me that he had the permission of the government. Then he got rude and told me he would call every day, and would suck my camel. (I can't imagine that's what he said, but it's what I heard. It went on a bit and he finally said he'd be happy to take me off the list - tear up my name, I think he said.

I received a call from 567-252-5685. They said I had a virus on my computer. I asked for his website so that I could look up his company on the internet. He asked "Why do you need that?" I said, "So that I can confirm that this is a legitimate company." He said, "All right. Write this down. It is www.m.......f.....com". Profanity. I hung up.

Gave a first name, claimed to be calling from the Tech support company. Some accent. I immediately responded that he was a known scammer, that my computer did not have a virus, that he would not be given remote access to my computer, that I would not visit any website he asked me to, and that he would never get a credit card from me over the phone, and stated he should give it up. Hung up without giving him a chance to respond.

Someone keeps calling from several different numbers saying my PC has a virus. They are very obnoxious and will not take no for an answer. These scam calls are so time consummining and very very irritatingly. Blocking the number doesn't do any good, they simply call from a different number.

Said his name was Adam but had a heavy middle eastern accent. He said there was a problem with my Windows computer, I told him I had no Microsoft products. He then said he hadn't said anything about Microsoft and I reminded him that Windows is Microsoft so he said my Apple Computer so I told him I wouldn't own anything Apple. I called him a terrorist and several other things, then I reminded him he was calling Texas and I could sue his company since I have told him more than 3 times to remove my number from his database so he finally hung up.

I keep getting calls from this guy every single day saying I need help with my computer. First time my husband answered and my husband hung up on him. The 2nd time he called I pretended to be someone else then he got vulgar with me telling me all the sexual things he wanted to do to me then he called AGAIN tonight saying the same things. Said he was going to send a car for me. He wanted me to be his girlfriend, etc. Told him I was reporting him to the FBI but he laughed at me. So much more he kept saying

I just got a call from the number, I find it listed as a call center and could hear that type of background noise. The guy did not speak good English. He tried to tell me my computer was infected and he would me how to fix it. Right, so I told him I would not give him remote access, he said he wouldn't but he would show me what to do. I told I have 3 good programs that I pay for and use other beside and I would not be doing that. I told him I had just wipe my hard drive and reloaded my OS and security programs, but he insisted and I told him sorry, and goodbye.

PLEASE people if you get a call from a number, name or location you do not know DON'T answer. If it is a legitimate call they will leave a message.

Better yet, get a machine that block numbers, they cost around $40 up.

Don't answer unknown numbers and protect yourself. That is the only way to stop them. The government is doing little to nothing to stop them.

I've read articles that someone will call and ask if you can hear them, and when you say yes, they record it and use your voice to approve fraudulent charges. Just a tip - they also say hello a couple times as well as ask if you're there, before they get to asking if you can hear them.

In reading the posts that are on here, I am 'down-right' appalled at the number of people, who think that these disgusting, scam calls (and callers) are calling from somewhere here in the United States! Pay attention, folks: These pieces of human garbage are NOT calling from the USA, therefore, threatening them with reporting them to the Feds, &/or the Do Not Call website accomplishes absolutely nothing! Wake up, people...everybody should know this by now. It's been all over the news, and 'everything'!!!!

Had to say hello several times but heard a very noisy room. In a very accented voice the caller then asked for me by name. In the background I heard someone else say "You got _____ ?<my last name>.
Caller then started to tell me my computer had a problem so I just told him to get a real job and hung up. As I was hanging up I said "Idiots" which he probably overheard and is probably why he called right back but I did not answer. The # is now blocked. Caller ID said LKSD/MRBLHD and identified it as coming from Marblehead OH.
