This number has called many times. I answer. The heavily accented voice on the other end identifies himself as Andrew. I play along with him but tell him I can't get to my computer. He always calls back. Finally I called him a criminal. He hung up but called me back 3 times just seconds between calls to call me an idiot and a*****e.

lady calls herself Giada , called said there was a problem with my computer, said she was with Microsoft; I told her, I had requested that they not call me at my home.
She said there was still a problem with my computer. I did not request help, this is the fourth time I have received calls about my computer, from people claiming to be microsoft. All four times the people speaking had definite Indian accents. The phone ID did not read Microsoft. I do not appreciate being called by scam artists. I am on the do Not CAll List!

This is the computer scam where they are calling from your "IT department." I asked what company he worked for and when he finally coughed up a name (unintelligible) I advised him that I had no business relationship with that company, he did not have permission to call me and asked him to take me off the list. He told me that he had the permission of the government. Then he got rude and told me he would call every day, and would suck my camel. (I can't imagine that's what he said, but it's what I heard. It went on a bit and he finally said he'd be happy to take me off the list - tear up my name, I think he said.

This is such an OLD scam. They call, claiming to be from Microsoft or Apple's computer management division. They say that while on line you have picked up a virus, spyware, or some other type of malicious script and it is sending them messages, but if you let them log on to your computer (remote access), then they will fix it.
Whatever you do...DO NOT, give them access to your computer. Your computer will be turned into one of their computer routers or system hubs, or the information will be stolen, or they'll install ransom-ware or another type of inappropriate software. Microsoft does not call you! Apple does not call you!!
If you are not computer literate, then find a reputable local computer repair shop and have them use the latest software to scan your computer.

I received a call from 567-252-5685. They said I had a virus on my computer. I asked for his website so that I could look up his company on the internet. He asked "Why do you need that?" I said, "So that I can confirm that this is a legitimate company." He said, "All right. Write this down. It is www.m.......f.....com". Profanity. I hung up.

Gave a first name, claimed to be calling from the Tech support company. Some accent. I immediately responded that he was a known scammer, that my computer did not have a virus, that he would not be given remote access to my computer, that I would not visit any website he asked me to, and that he would never get a credit card from me over the phone, and stated he should give it up. Hung up without giving him a chance to respond.

PLEASE people if you get a call from a number, name or location you do not know DON'T answer. If it is a legitimate call they will leave a message.

Better yet, get a machine that block numbers, they cost around $40 up.

Don't answer unknown numbers and protect yourself. That is the only way to stop them. The government is doing little to nothing to stop them.

Someone keeps calling from several different numbers saying my PC has a virus. They are very obnoxious and will not take no for an answer. These scam calls are so time consummining and very very irritatingly. Blocking the number doesn't do any good, they simply call from a different number.

Say there is a problem with my computer, such as a virus. Kept asking if I was the only user of the computer. Put another guy on phone- both had foreign accents. Have called several days. Told me to get on my computer and tell him what I saw. Kept saying something about lower left "Ctrl" button.

I've read articles that someone will call and ask if you can hear them, and when you say yes, they record it and use your voice to approve fraudulent charges. Just a tip - they also say hello a couple times as well as ask if you're there, before they get to asking if you can hear them.

Has called four times in the last two hours and left no message. If I pick up the phone and say hello the line disconnects. If I pick up the phone and don't say anything to line disconnects.
