As reported by previous respondents. Clearly this is a fraudulent caller, somehow attempting to wrangle money. DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER THEY PROVIDE, since they will are highly likely to ask you to provide additional identifying information, such as name, address, phone number and SSN. Never give this information to an anonymous caller.

If they calls continue I would speak with someone from the office, Get the person's name, their address, title, any info you can then tell them you are calling the Attorney General for your state! I have done this and they have stopped calling. I also called the FTC and reported them. I was told that the FBI is looking into them and their scams. It seems this company has had many names and is based out of New York.

Claimed there was civil suit for bad banking. Instructed me that I had 24-48 hours to get information to my attorney and have them contact them. They left this on a VM on my cell phone. When trying to reach them, no answer. Please watch for this fraud.

Called LMOM that I had a civil complaint and restraining order against me and I or my attorney needed to contact them within 24 hrs. I called them and the man on the other end started yelling at me about a past due account from March of 2007, said I would be served with papers unless I showed good faith and sent them money. I hung up.

I have had the same cell phone number for 8+ years and continue getting calls for a specific person. I received a call from this number which I did not answer and then got a voicemail for the same person as always. I attempted several times to call either silence and then hung up or could hear the gentleman and he wouldn't respond to anything I said. The last time I called again he answered hello and I was speaking to him and still no answer. So I started saying hello and said it a few times he got very angry told me to stop saying hello it was rude and I told him I wouldn't have continued to if he would've acknowledged that he heard me and he asked for my case number I told him it wasn't for me and he said you are calling about something that doesn't even concern you and said have a nice day very rudely and hung up on me. Well it does concern me if you continue to call my d**n phone number!

If you receive a call from this number, simply ignore it. It is a THIRD PARTY collection agency, using leagal terms to scare someone into surrendering $$. GO TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION website, and file a formal complaint. When they receive enough inquiries/complaints on this number alone, they will move in, investigate and shut them down in time.

Got a call just like the above, automated message, saying there was a civil investigation and complaint against me and to have my attorney call as there was also a restraining order- called the number back and was on hold for about 5 minutes, which was long enough for me to find this site on the internet and get a heads up. When a gentlemen answered, I just simply said "I got a call but looked you up on internet and saw this is a scam so I'm hanging up now." :) Very scary to get a call like that! I would love to know how put a stop to it.

Really? Now I have to answer my 11 year olds questions about why I need a lawyer and what I've done wrong!!!

Left message on my phone numerous times over past few months for my son even though I told them previously that he doesn't live here. They told me they would remove my number. Continue to leave messages stating to have his lawyer contact them within 24 to 48 hours. I tried to return the call to tell them to stop the harassing calls to my phone. Was on hold for over 30 minutes without talking to anyone.

First, I received an automated call stating that I was going to be receiving a restraining order on me, and indicated a case number and to contact attorney within 24 to 48 hours. I did not bother to return the call again until I received a phone call my 9 year old daughter's cell phone. At that point a very rude woman choose to that tell me I had an outstanding debt to a bank account from April of 2007 and that the bank had attempted to reach me NUMEROUS times. Funny thing is my son was shot and killed in March of 2007 so I highly doubt that I went and opened a checking account on April 2, 2007 and it went delinquent on April 22nd....somehow I HIGHLY doubt I was opening up checking accounts and out writing bad checks within moments of my 17 year old son being shot in the head and killed. And why would these so called "attorneys" have my correct address but the bank who "supposedly" attempted numerous times to reach me never mailed me a thing in the 7 years that has passed. I HOPE they subpoena me, so I can go to court and give the judge a good laugh. Wait till I tell him/her the story. Not to mention that the rude girl who hung up on me called me a liar, hung up on me and then told me that I was "harassing" them because I called back 4 times trying to get the information from her that legally she should have given me in the first place. She told me I couldn't talk to the "attorney" on "my case" and that she was the litigator. Any real attorney has a legal assistant. Whatever. Keep calling my 9 year old and see who gets slapped with what!

Unbelievable!...I too got the message and waited online to speak to a person regarding my "restraining order". When I would not answer a question to his liking he went ballistic and cursed me out...."I don't give a s**t who your attorney is, just be ready when the sheriff comes and arrests your a*s!" I still have no clue why they called and cannot believe that they get away with it....there are harassment laws.

call was for a person I do not know with the same last name as me. Recording blurted out a case number and file number. Stayed on the line and pressed 2 to respond. A women asked for the case number and then for my phone number instead. As I tried to explain they had the wrong person I was interupted and repeatedly ask for my phone number and the location of the person they were looking for. She would NOT listen to me and hung up. I phoned back, asked for a supervisor and calmly tried to explain they had the wrong number to him. He ALSO immediately cut me off and said I needed to give him my phone number or I would be wasting my breath talking. SCAM SCAM SCAM

Got the same call on a business line. Same wording, same message. You know it's a scam when they don't identify the person they are really calling for. (Maybe in your call they did??) But in our case, it was a call for no one in specific but were told we had to call within 24-48 hours, needed to get the info to our attorney and would be "required to appear". How bogus. But I can see where this would be of major anxiety for older folks, etc. Just so everyone knows... if you're going to be sued, you'll get notice delivered to you. The world of law doesn't rely on a VM. If you're away from the office (in our case) for 2 days for business travel, some "other party's" going to get a judgement against you? Don't think so!

My friend called me today to tell me that she got a phone call for me saying that I needed to call the number the computer generated voice told her. It said that I have a case pending and a restraining order pending and that either I or my attorney needs to call them. I have had these calls before and they can become a pain. Just wondering how to get them to quit calling my friends phone. She does not deserve this kind of harassment.
