Notifing me of taking amount from my account. Did not give any name or account just amount they withdrew. No verification code but what upsets me is it is not time for money nor is amount correct for phone if this is from Version Straight Talk. No one else has authority to withdraw. Not good business conduct
Says it's from straight talk, not sure I believe it. Have received several texts from this number claiming to be straight talk. Text that made me suspicious says: all future refills of the unlimited plan will now provide 5GB of High Speed Data which other sites are saying shouldn't be out until 2020 at the earliest. However, ever since this "upgrade" I cannot access the internet.
Is this really a straight talk number or someone scamming as Straight Talk? Either way, I've had enough problems with straight talk phones over the past several years that the next chance I get I'm getting a brand new "real" android phone rather than a pay-as-you-go phone. Tired, also, of dealing with the crappy customer service every time I call them. I don't even bother calling customer service when things go wrong with my phone anymore: they sit there and argue with me about how I don't have such-and-such when I do and it takes them 15-20 minutes to realize I do and then they are miraculously able to fix the issue. They've also taken me through a bunch of steps to fix my phone when I couldn't received calls/texts, but I could send them and they would be received by the people I sent them to. I was on with Straight Talk for almost an hour and had to go to an appointment so had to call back later. The guy told me to call back and ask to be directed to some section or other that I can't recall the name of now, but when I did call back the new guy I got spent about ten minutes arguing with me about how I needed to do the steps anyway, even though I told him I'd already gone through those steps and that the last guy told me to ask to be directed to the one department. However, the new guy refused to direct me there so I asked to speak to his boss and he said he didn't have a boss or something to that effect, so finally losing my temper I hung up on the guy, called back, got a different person and explained the situation and finally got sent to the department I was supposed to be sent to.
Fact is, whether this number is from Straight Talk or not, I'm tired of their crappy customer service. Can't wait to switch phones.
Just finished chatting with ST. The guy said he was able to turn off my auto refill messages. We'll see. I've been getting them every 30 days after 9pm for months now. I also received them a few months ago at 4am from this same number about black friday deals. I'm confident the messages are coming from ST. The CSR said they couldn't adjust the timing of the messages, but could turn them off.
