I got a call from this number saying they were VMS calling from Iowa to tell me I had won their sweepstakes. I asked what VMS was and she said, "Viking Magazine Services" . She just needed to verify my age, and asked what my age was. I told her I had not entered any sweepstakes and hung up.

So they called and said Ive won some sort of sweepstakes yet wanted to try to sell me some magazines. After I tell them I don't feel comfortable giving credit card info over the phone, especially when they call ME, I got asked why. I've been through this before and I never got anything in themail. I'm pretty sure it's a scam.

This number calls twice a day, at 8am exactly & 8:30 pm exactly. They don't identify themselves and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, they hung up on me. However - they called again the next day at the same times, etc. Is there a way to block this number?

Claimed the were calling on behalf of Publishers Clearing House. Wanted my credit card/bank info, age etc. I called PCH and reported it to their fraud dept. They said that they were glad to know. That the company was not authorized to use their name. I traced the number and it is a company called Viking Magazine in Des Moine Iowa. DO NOT TELL THEM YOUR BANK. They said I would be receiving something in the mail. If it's a magazine I can keep it without paying for it since I did not order it. Within minutes I received another telemarketing asking if I wanted to received $300 worth of gifts. My answer: Please take me off your calling list.

Caller name: Viking Magazine Services
Caller type: Debt Collector
I think that Viking Services is a Debt Collection Agency because in my searching I found a person who they said owes them money from the sell of magazines that were not paid for since she stopped her check cause she did not want to renew.

Viking Magazine Subscriptions called me and said I won some sweepstake. Well I don't even know what they do , why would I participate in their draw. The lady on the phone said I was randomly selected but could not specify from which "database" or selection process. This all sounded well too sketchy for me, so I just hang up.
My name is Rhonda and Im an alcoholic ( cheers to fellow brothers and sisters)

Just received a call from "Charlene" at the "Redemption Centre" in Montreal.
She said that because I use my Visa and MasterCard I am entitled to some "free gifts".
Knowing it was a scam, I said it wasn't a good time, so I asked for a contact number so I can call her back. At first she said that I can't call back because she was using an internet call (or something) then she changed her story and said I can call back at
1-800-881-1030 or
800-887-1541
I didn't let her go on, but now that I have read some of your comments, there are questions that I will for sure ask, because I know someone will end up calling me again.

I also got a called today from this # saying that I won a ipad for entering a sweepstakes and it was a lady that I was talking to saying that she was calling from PCH and I was such a fool that I confirmed my address and named to her...I realized that it was a scam when the lady asked me if I worked.

I received a call today from this number saying my name had been entered to win an Ipad and that I won, and they wanted to verify my mailing address... I asked repeatedly what company was hosting the sweepstakes and was not given a straight answer, just some generic sounding name. I don't enter sweepstakes. Obviously a scam.
