Caller name: American Medical collection agency
Caller type: Debt Collector
I got 2 really short calls, maybe 1 or 2 rings, and couldn't answer before they hung up. Couldn't find any info about this number on internet, so thought I'd pitch in. Called back and got machine with British female accent. No info about them. They connected me to next agent quite quickly. Talking to agent, got the company name. They were calling about 2 outstanding debts from same lab less than $50 combined. They were polite and helpful. Told them the problem with their client and looks like this is resolved. We'll see. So looks to be small local collection agency dealing with small medical debts. I will say they're probably the easiest collection agency I've dealt with, but that's just my experience. Mileage may vary.
Caller type: Unknown
I say unknown, but I'm willing to bet that dude that left the comment Aug 7 is right, and it's a medical bill collector. I have Multiple Sclerosis and no insurance thanks to our fucked up government and our even more fucked up health care system. I'm not an illegal so I don't qualify for free healthcare. But back to this phone number, I get a call from the about 6 times a week, it never leaves a message, and when I do decide to answer it, it always just hangs up. So I just say fuckem, and go on with my day. Have a merry Christmas everyone!
