Called twice. First time left no message, second time I answered. Woman asked if I was "Blank"-"Blank" not pronouncing my last name correctly and then hung up on me. Called back and a recording answered and said they were not available. This is scammer, do not answer and block if you can.
I was on another call & by the time I got it, was gone. Since it was a 501 number, I called back (I had been expecting a call from a legit gas company), the answering machine just said "office is closed, call between 7am & ..pm Pacific). Will not answer again.
Said he was from my Auto warranty company - had to say it 3 THREE times so I could understand his broken English. Knew what kind of car I currently drive because he used the name of it in his second sentence. He told me that my warranty was "up" on my car and immediately wanted to know what the mileage was. I told him none of his business and that I didn't appreciate calls from outside the USA who were trying to scam me. He hung up.
caller had broken English and asked me about a SUV that I used to drive. I told him that I didn't have it anymore, he wanted to know what I drive now. When I questioned him about why he needed my info, he hung up. I tried calling back immediately and it said they were closed. BEWARE.
These guys call me about once a week. I told them to stop calling me. So today "Alexander" calls and I just keep him going in circles about who is the company, to which he answers in broken Pakistani/Indian accent "Warranty Service Division". I said "that's honestly the name of your company?" He said yes. I asked him does he work for Ford? Who owns the company? What's your name again? Just keeping him going. He finally got exasperated and hung up.
Same number called every day for the last 2 weeks. Finally answered the call. You could tell it was some sort of telemarketing for vehicle warranties. Caller spoke broken English and phone connection had static. I told her I didn't have the vehicle any more and to remove me from their calling list. She continues to ask what type of vehicles I have and I repeated take me off your list and hung up.
After having received calls from this number repeatedly, I had a friend who works for the AG Dustin McDaniel check into the source. It is! I've been informed, a form of scamming that utilizes the 707 exchange out of Arkansas. They try to sell a service such as an auto warranty extension or other similar services that do not exists. Changing their locations by scrambling the reception/broadcast roaming signal.
