I made the mistake of picking up their call - thinking it was a customer. They now call 2-3 times a day. I have it blocked and I always decline the call. I hope someone finds them and puts them in jail.

After reading the posts on this website, I reported them to www.donotcall.gov When they called again, I told them that I had reported them to this agency and so they should not call my number again. Same as all of the above , saying anything , generally illicit's a verbal attack from a moron who knows one phrase , advice just don't answer the phone . This is obviously phone spoofing so the number is worthless , complaining probably is also .

Get calls at least 1/day. Today "Rod" called - but in the past have received calls from "Sam", "Sandra", "John", etc. They always sound Indian and the call is obviously from overseas. They say they're calling from "The Windows Service Center" - saying that my Windows computer is sending them lots of error messages in the past couple of days.

I've tried to be nice and say that there is no way that my Apple iMac is sending them Windows error messages. Please take me off their list, I ask. Obviously I've had no luck in accomplishing that task. They still call. Reported the complaint again with "Donotcall" ... but in the past this just succeeds in the number they call from changing.

Today though, the caller, "Rod" actually got very rude. When he called me an "Oss Hole" I promptly hung up on him. Gheesh.

Called my house phone and spoke with my husband , well my husband played along like he was getting "support" for his computer (he was bored and likes messing with these people). They told him his computer was at risk and had been hacked into and then proceeded to tell him to download a program onto his computer so they could access it and "fix" the problem he ended up hanging up on them and they haven't called our house phone since. NOW somehow they have my cell phone number and will call every single day , they do not understand stop calling my phone!!! Very obnoxious people and they are all heavy accented foreigners! getting very frustrated !

received call from 478-225-4878 said he was from Microsoft Windows and to turn on my computer. Informed him he was calling a business and to remove us from his calling list. (man has Indian/southern pacific accent). said no he wouldn't. told him to transfer the call to his supervisor. He said no he couldn't do that. Told him to either transfer the call to his supervisor/manager or remove me from his call list. (much giggling from the man and someone in the background.) He said he wouldn't transfer the call to his manager unless I slept in his bed for one night. Informed him to never call back. Upon hangup he called back immediately. Caller id lists him as Warner Robin GA

Called 3 times today, I could hear a lot of people in the background so I assume it is a call center. After the third call they decided to leave a message on my answering machine. The person chose to heavy breathe into the phone and then hung up. No they didnt have a breathing problem. It was very intentional and in rapid succession. They have been added to my block list.

Male person with heavy Indian accent . Said he was calling for windows, that my computer was having problem and was at risk. I have a do not call # and that he should take me off list or I would report him. He said he could not do that. Wrong ,anyone that calls and I tell them that, they say sorry and we will remove you from our list. He was trying to say I needed to log on and he would fix the proble . I told him not to call that I have great protection and I did not trust him. I said send me a letter . Also I said why wouldn't this be on the news like any other time when there is a problem with virus it gets on the news. Call came from 4782254878 warren robin ga. You could here lots of other people talking in background like it was a busy office. Can something be done about this?

We got the same call . The Windows scam. The man started speaking incorherently, so I answered with complete jibberish. Suddenly in pretty clear English , the cretin on the other end of the phone tried to tell me to Eff off. I was laughing at him too hard to care.

If they call you , just ask them why their life is so pathetic they have to resort to this. OR
Tell them you are very interested and have to check with your spouse. Ask them to hold on for a second and then just simply set the phone down so they cannot call to harass anyone else for a few minutes.

Enjoy!

I've been getting multiple calls from this number all week. I finally answered and was told my computer had been hacked and some federal files were accessed via my computer. I replied that I had a local IT guy who was very good and that I would have him look at my computer and then I thanked them for advising me of this info. Then I was told that a local IT guy would not know how to correct the situation. I jumped in an interrupted what the caller started to say next by affirming that he was indeed VERY good and could fix the situation. The caller was a female with an Indian accent, the background sounded like there were many voices there. The call said it was from Warner Robbins, GA but I know that may be a ruse.

They called claiming to be with "Windows" and that they were receiving numerous error messages that they would like to fix. To do so, they begin a process of having you go to the events log on your computer. Once they got that far with me, I let them know that I know it is a scam. They then hung up on me.

They called me at work, where we work with important documents and claimed that my files were being hacked. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and played along, while telling my supervisor. Later, i told them to call me back on a more secure line. They called my supervisor, and when he started asking them question, they hung up the phone. Then they tried to reach me again with 10 calls in a row. They didn't make any threats or ask for money, but maybe if i talked to them long enough they would have.

Heavy Indian/ Misdle Eastern accents claiming to be from Microsoft. I point out to them that Microsoft doesn't contact people by land line--they send emails with a link to the viral fix. The person continues to demand I get out my computer, but we're an Apple family.

They call every hour, sometimes twice, and the connection is often poor. They have phony names and this scam is well known on the internet because they try to gain access to computers and then threaten to put on a virus that liquidates the program files unless you pay a fee using a paypal account. They are a wretched, harassing bunch that likely prey on the elderly or naive.

A lady speaking English with a heavy Spanish accent claimed to be from Windows
Service Center (never mentioned Microsoft). Claimed to have been tracking somecomputer problems to my computer. Requested I turn my computer on and then let her know. I kept saying that I had no computer problems nor needed any
support, but she literally argued with me that she knew there was a problem inside my computer. She made reference to some hacker group that would hack into my computer in the next few days if I did not turn my computer on and use the Service Center support. I hung up while she was still arguing with me.

This number should be in Georgia (map shows Robbins Air Force Base near Macon, GA) but all callers from this number have what sounds like an Asian accent.
