Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster
The Texas Senior Medicare Patrol has received complaints about Medicare scam calls from 432-683-9492. The female robocaller says that unless the person confirms his/her pain or disability, that Medicare would not cover any current or future claims for disability or mobility. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SCAM WITH THREATS. Report these scams to the Federal Trade Commission (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov) , Medicare Office of the Inspector General (https://oig.hhs.gov/fraud/report-fraud/index.asp) and your state's Senior Medicare Patrol (1-877-808-2468, or https://www.smpresource.org). DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR MEDICARE OR SOCIAL SECURITY IDS. Check your Medicare Summary Notices (MSNs). If you see that Medicare has been billed for something that neither you nor your doctor has ordered, report that information immediately to your state's Senior Medicare Patrol (1-877-808-2468, or https://www.smpresource.org).
