I got calls to both my home phone and my cell phone. An automated message promises a free trip if you'll take their survey. I consider this a "scam" rather than a survey, because no legitimate pollster wants the horrendous skewing that is introduced by promising something.
My home phone is on the do-not-call registry, so I have to wonder if there is a loophole in the law that exempts "surveys" from the restrictions and penalties in calling a do-not-call number. In that case, the "survey" might be a ruse to avoid penalties for breaking the law. Obviously, there "free" trip has large associated costs that make it far from free. I recognized a scam immediately and hung up.
Uppon answering a call from this number, they hung up. On Do Not Call Registry, which apparently works really well.
Must be an "approved" organization calling that is allowed to call numbers without reason. Thank you Government employees/politicans for looking out for your interests and not the interests and concerns of the U.S. citizens.

This number called me and when I answered no one said anything. I hung up and they immediately called back - still not saying anything. I stayed on the line that time until they hung up. Weird. Only the number was on the ID saying it was from WA, USA. I'm also on the Do Not Call list.

called my cell phone! I hung up after recording identified as PO America ... still cost me a minute which chaps my a*s. My phones are on the Do Not Call Registry which apparently excludes political, charity and survey groups. How convenient.

Asked that participate in a survey and in return I'd receive 2 free cruise tickets to the Bahamas. I answered 3 questions using my telephone key pad, then I was forwarded to an agent who answered, "Carribian Cruises" When I tried talking to the agent they first put me on hold, then after a few seconds, the phone disconnected.
