Caller name: Robocaller / Unlawful Telemarketer / Carpet Cleaning Scammer

Caller type: Telemarketer

I let the call go to voice mail. They left a message - a prerecorded woman, halfway through her sales pitch about some kind of floor/carpet cleaning without ever getting around to the name of the supposed company. "Press 1 to make an appointment, press 2 to be removed from our call list" - i.e, press 2 to confirm that this robocall has reached a valid number so we can keep pestering you whenever we want.

Caller name: Robocaller / unlawful telemarketer / carpet cleaning scammer

Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

An unwanted call from this Los Angeles VOIP number arrived today. When the answering machine picked up, a woman's recorded message offered an unsolicited carpet cleaning package for $69.

Folks, these scammers will clean out your wallet, not your carpet! The website www.whitepages.com accurately describes this number as "scam or fraud." Case closed!
