My phone rang and the caller ID read WCF -1-585-548-0024 --7:53 PM Jul 3. A live woman identified by me by my first name, said she was calling for Womans Cancer Fund and asked if it would be alright if she sent me a reply form to donate to their cause. I said "sure, I'll look it over, run a check for validation and go from there. She wanted to know which form she should send a $50 or a $30. I then explained that I didn't know if she really represented the WCF or was a scam artist so that she should stipulate no desired amount. She then said she would send out the $15 donation form instead. I, once again, told her the amount isn't the problem that I was having, but the fact that she had called me and I don't know if it's a scam or not. At this point a man took over the conversation claiming that he was such an such from the organization and tried to convince me that the organization was indeed a reputable charity, and that I can check the good works by going to www.wcf.org. After I hung up -- not convinced -- I went to www.wcf.org and it was The Woodforest Charitable Foundation not Women's Cancer Fund. Glad I was awake enough to question their credentials.

A woman called miss pronounced my name and then said I was harder to get a hold of than getting her husband to do dishes. She asked to send me an envelope for 30 or 50 dollars for women with cancer. She then said she knew I would like to get my number off their call list which I found odd. Then another voice came on so I hung up. I don't know why I would need to talk to another person just to take my number off. I was concerned they may be trying to get more information so I hung up. It is also odd that a charity organization would offer to have your phone number taken off their call list.

An entity claiming to be the Woman's Cancer Fund has called me 17 times in 2 days from six different phone numbers, all with WCF on caller ID. I've tried blocking the number but they use different numbers now.

I get many calls each day from WCF (supposedly Womens Cancer Fund). I block them, but they keep coming. They won't leave a message, but if I pick up (mistake), they beg money & personal info.
The latest number is from WCF at (509 )872-0011. Yesterday, a woman called from the 9562 number, asking for my brother-in-law by name. I said Wrong #. She said that's OK! Getting people to pick up is harder than getting my husband to cook dinner! HaHa. (This is a standard line). She tried to get my personal info to send out a donation envelope & a money pledge. We're unlisted, so I hung up & blocked her #, but they keep changing it & calling, early AM, & late evening. DO NOT give them personal info!

For the last two months. Calls "EVERYDAY" two or three times. Charity or not, I consider this to be harassment.

My caller ID lists TWENTY-TWO calls from this number in one day (yesterday, March 22, 2018)! Most call listings do not give any name at all, and a few came up as "WCF". Because I never know who is calling until I look the number up on the computer afterward, I haven't answered. This WCF & associated telephone number(s) have called many, many times over the last several months, so often that I'm going to have to answer it the next time to try to stop these calls. Charity or not, it's harassment.

I used to donate to them but they shared my information with others after making an agreement not to do so so i informed them both via verbal communication on the telephone and via writ not to make any further attempts at contact yet they persist.I am on a dnc list and am very unhappy to keep having my time wasted by these calls..This last attempt they made was of a prank nature as they called but remained silent until they hung up

Same story as the above. The fake palsy-walsy attempt at getting you to say Yes. The scam was so obvious from the start that after a couple of calls I got to where I just hung up.

But the latest turn of the s***w is retaliation for not picking up. They call after 8:00 PM Mountain Time and when the answering machine gets done blowing them off, they stay on so the robo-operator comes on and sets off a loud alert for our end supposedly not hanging up in time. Or something like that -- obviously, they're familiar with this technique.

Don't answer, either yourself or the machine. Just pick up and hang up. That's all you can do with this vermin.

They will not stop calling after telling them to never call my number again. The woman was rude and kept interrupting me when I tried to tell her I was on the no call list. I get two or more calls a day - everyday from these scammers.

Call me by first name. Have asked to be removed from call list many times which is a waste of time. Personally I have terminal cancer and have financial problems of my own.

The number they called from today was 502-306-0003

Asked for me by name but I responed by asking who was calling. They then asked me to donate to their fund in such a way as to make me respond with a yes or no answer, I just answered no to everything they asked.. There are scams out there that only need you to say yes and they record you saying yes and then they charge your credit cards up. Do not answer yes to this caller, and try to avoid it on any other calls you are not sure of.

This is the VERY DANGEROUS "Say Yes" Scam; trying to get you to say yes to ANY question (including "Can you hear me?" and "Is this ------ (your name)?" They RECORD you saying yes, and then ADD CHARGES TO YOUR PHONE BILL. They call from MULTIPLE numbers/area codes/states including 339-209-2066 and 781-207-9288. How does THAT make any sense if they were a legit charity? They also call very early in the AM or very late in the PM - hoping to catch people when they are tired and off-guard.
Claims to be "Women's Cancer Fund" and "Women's Cancer Foundation" but are known for funding REACTIONARY ULT-RIGHT WING political agendas and politicians. DJT uses these tactics to fund himself. This is one to BLOCK and REPORT.
