Called offer "free gift". I'm on the NO CALL LIST. When will the FCC start fining these a******s and stop this? None of this $1,000 fine, hit them for $500,000 first time a Million for the second time and lock some of them up in Federal Prison. Clearly they don't care about the NO CALL LIST so what's the FCC doing?

You can't stop us. It is legal. Just buy our products and we may leave you alone. Option 2 is just a ploy, we will keep calling. Most people enjoy our calls. We satisfy the lonely and they buy from us. It's a win win. So suck it up. Thank you.

Caller name: Thompson Research Group [BIZ MKTG]

Robo call recorded 13 November 2013 ("Thompson Research Group" short automated survey and free gift for participating)

Caller ID: "BIZ MKTG"

Also called from: **first time caller**

This is the first time I've ever received a call from "Thompson Research Group" claiming to be conducting a short, automated survey with an offer of a free gift courtesy of one of their sponsors.

Somehow, I don't think they're really taking a legitimate survey, I think they're fishing for working telephone numbers using a new Caller ID to try to contact numbers that their robot previously found blocked or non-working. I didn't respond to any of their instructions to press to participate or press to be removed, I just let them hangup when they waited and detected no activity from my end.

Here is a transcript of their recording:

[male voice] "We are the Thompson Research Group calling to request your participation in a short research survey. And, in exchange for your participation, you'll receive a free gift courtesy of one of our sponsors. If you would like to complete our short automated survey and redeem your free gift, press 1. If you have no interest in completing the survey and would like to be removed from future consideration, please press 2."

417-800-2600 called. Left a message that said NOTHING.

Fuuck these people.

I NEVER answer my phone if I don't recognize the number.

Everyone needs to do this. If NOBODY ANSWERS, then maybe, just MAYBE, they might go away.

Having a Landline is a Real Curse these days. It attracts every known scum of the Earth type character there is. (Like these People). When I see these thieves on the line I answer and let them listen to the TV I have playing in Background until they realize nobody is gonna listen to whatever lies they are peddling today. Most quit after 2 or 3 calls but It ties up their lines and shuts their lying mouths for a while anyways.

Caller name: Thompson Research Group

Offered a "free gift from sponsor" for completing a survey. I hung up before the spiel ended and programmed the number in my phone as a "junk call", so I can ignore it in the future. I'm on the do not call list, and I still get this stuff.

Caller name: thompson research group

I received "robo" call today identifying it from "Thompson Research Group" on a listed land line, which has been long listed on "do not call" list w/ Federal Trade Commission. So what is the FTC doing with complaints filed? Are they following up with them or just doing nothing. Thank you for supplying this forum for feedback from other "victims" Thanks to those who share their tips for handling such calls. I get disruptive and annoying unsolicited calls on a DAILY basis!!!!! I do report them to FTC, but nothing seems to be happening to stem this practice. I've even called my Rep. in Congress to complain. Sometimes I call local TV action, business scam reporters to report shady callers that are "local" or obvious liars & swindlers--con-artists.

Caller name: not sure, TRG?

They need to be dealt with in the same unlawful way they conduct business. Calling people on the Do Not Call list IS an unlawful activity. Unfortunately the law is NOT enforced. I'd like to go meet them to collect my "prize". What happens after that, should be enforced to the same degree that the do not call violations are enforced. What's fair is fair. If they can get away with breaking the law, so can we, RIGHT? Enough IS enough!
