If you have time to kill jerk them around for a while. I kept one guy on the phone for over 10 minutes. I asked which card and said any. So I said I'd be back soon. Left him hanging for 3 or 4 minutes. Then I asked stupid questions for the remainder. It really pissed him off.

These people call at least 3 times a day. Using different numbers I have press #3 to stop the calls. They keep coming. Today I pressed #1 to speak to an operator. She was very rude and didn't believe me when I said I didn't have a credit card!!! Said I was telling a lie, everyone has a card. I have at least 12 numbers that they use so far.

You can press "3" to stop calls a million times yet they still call, so when you press "1" to talk to an operator to tell THEM to stop calling they hang up on you! This is a joke, been going on for almost a year! How do we stop them????

I'm afraid the do not call list is worthless. so just try to have some fun with their agent!

I also have started to hit "1" and jerked them around for as long as I can get away with. When you get to the "how much do you owe on your credit cards" I say that info is upstairs, can I go get it? Then I leave the phone laying there until they hang up. It ties up their lines and frustrates their agents. Pressing "3" doesn't help so we should all do this.

Beware! This scammer's agents neither mentions their own names nor the the name of the "company" that employs

them. They are preying on people who are not observant enough to catch his. Unfortunately, only those who are observent would google this and end up on this page. I will document my experience and hopefully it will help someone.

Here is how they contacted me...

An automated dialing system dialed my phone number (which is listed on the national do not call registry). The

recording said, "hello, this is "card services." You are eligible to lower your interest rates to 4.9%. Please

press 1 to be connected to an account representative.

When I pressed one, I was connected with a woman who neither identified herself nor the company who employs her.

Instead, she immediately asked "are you interested in lowering your interest rates." To this, I responded, "I

would like to know the name of the company you work for." She immediately hung up.

I called back. Below I transcribed the entire recording from their phone system including the options they list...

"Welcome to OUR customer communications management platform.
It is likely that you have been contacted by one of OUR representatives and are calling back for additional

information or to request that we refrain from calling you in the future.

Please listen to the following prompts and select the information that best meets your needs.

if you would like to be connected to one of OUR customer service representatives, please press 1 NOW!

if you would like to have your telephone phone number put into our do not call database, please press 2 NOW!

if you would like to leave a voice message, please press 3 now, and it will be delivered to our customer care

department.

If you would like to report your concerns regarding our marketing practices or to provide your comments to the

regulatory agency which governs our industry, please press 4 NOW!

If you would like to hear these selections again, please press 9

When you press 9, the system says that "This selection is not valid" and then repeats the options.

If you let the message continue without pressing an option, it repeats in a computerized woman's voice with a slightly different script. Her script mentions in option four that you can call 888-382-1222. I googled this number, and it is the official number of the National Do Not Call Registry as listed on https://www.donotcall.gov.

If you press 1, music plays for a second and a recording says "We are sorry, but all agents are currently unavailable. Please leave a message after the tone."

I called back in several times and pressed 1. I got the same result each time.

I get numerous calls a week from this place. Many different phone numbers. I usually opt for 3 to be removed from the calling list. This DOES NOT work. I have tried opting for 1 to speak to a representative who always hangs up on me when I state my dissatisfaction of their calls. What does that tell you - S.C.A.M. I have tried calling the number back but naturally, 'all representatives busy, please leave a message.' Can't we stop these scammers?

I've been getting calls from Card Services for over 3 years. You first get a recording from someone called Rachel. They won't stop calling. You can press one to speak to a live person. Sometimes I try and act like a customer and I am interested in what they want to say but they hang up. I'm not sure how they even make a profit doing that.

Lately when I press one to speak to a live person once they answer the phone I just immediately call them names to provoke them. For some reason they respond to that. One guy asked me why I called him a **g and I told him he must like it because his company has been calling me for 3 years. Also when I *69 the number it is always a different number.

The woman who answered responded "i don't know how to tell you to do that, so let me know how that works out for you' laughed and hung up on me.

As you know this has become a major problem. It is unlawful and they know it. That's why they use soofing technology to hide their identity.
The DO NOT CALL LIST is useless. States can't handle this problem!

I URGE YOU TO CONTACT YOUR CONGRESSMAN AND ASK FOR HIS/HER HELP AS I HAVE DONE. This is going to take an effort at the federal level. I'm sure they can handle it if we can get them involved.

I just received a phone call from 000-000-0000 onto my cellphone. I didn't answer it. They left me a voice mail which turned out to be something that sounded like a pre-recorded voice saying something about a pre-paid MasterCard and some suspicious activity.
I don't have any pre-paid cards, let alone a MasterCard or anything of that sort. They must have the wrong number or they must be scam artists expecting me to answer their call so that they could somehow harvest my personal information. I'm not even calling them back. What do you think might be happening?

File a complaint with the no call list. Enough complaints and they will be fined. I file a complaint every time they call. They are fined for every call so this is a win win situation for us, the consumer. Just whose member services are they? Not my credit card companies. Also write your CC company with the phone number and info. I'm also filing a complaint with my phone company. Good luck

It's sad that all of us are experiencing this harassment, which I've defined as a form of terrorism. They won't take you off the call list; hitting 3 does nothing and threatening them appears useless. So I like Johann's idea....waste THEIR time. Pretend your old and can't hear, then tell them you have to go upstairs and get your wallet. Then when they are about to hang up tell them you are deliberately wasting their time and will do so every time they call. Maybe that will get us off the list. The Government is not going to do anything about it. The NO-CALL list is a joke.
