If you have time to kill jerk them around for a while. I kept one guy on the phone for over 10 minutes. I asked which card and said any. So I said I'd be back soon. Left him hanging for 3 or 4 minutes. Then I asked stupid questions for the remainder. It really pissed him off.

Beware! This scammer's agents neither mentions their own names nor the the name of the "company" that employs

them. They are preying on people who are not observant enough to catch his. Unfortunately, only those who are observent would google this and end up on this page. I will document my experience and hopefully it will help someone.

Here is how they contacted me...

An automated dialing system dialed my phone number (which is listed on the national do not call registry). The

recording said, "hello, this is "card services." You are eligible to lower your interest rates to 4.9%. Please

press 1 to be connected to an account representative.

When I pressed one, I was connected with a woman who neither identified herself nor the company who employs her.

Instead, she immediately asked "are you interested in lowering your interest rates." To this, I responded, "I

would like to know the name of the company you work for." She immediately hung up.

I called back. Below I transcribed the entire recording from their phone system including the options they list...

"Welcome to OUR customer communications management platform.
It is likely that you have been contacted by one of OUR representatives and are calling back for additional

information or to request that we refrain from calling you in the future.

Please listen to the following prompts and select the information that best meets your needs.

if you would like to be connected to one of OUR customer service representatives, please press 1 NOW!

if you would like to have your telephone phone number put into our do not call database, please press 2 NOW!

if you would like to leave a voice message, please press 3 now, and it will be delivered to our customer care

department.

If you would like to report your concerns regarding our marketing practices or to provide your comments to the

regulatory agency which governs our industry, please press 4 NOW!

If you would like to hear these selections again, please press 9

When you press 9, the system says that "This selection is not valid" and then repeats the options.

If you let the message continue without pressing an option, it repeats in a computerized woman's voice with a slightly different script. Her script mentions in option four that you can call 888-382-1222. I googled this number, and it is the official number of the National Do Not Call Registry as listed on https://www.donotcall.gov.

If you press 1, music plays for a second and a recording says "We are sorry, but all agents are currently unavailable. Please leave a message after the tone."

I called back in several times and pressed 1. I got the same result each time.

I also have started to hit "1" and jerked them around for as long as I can get away with. When you get to the "how much do you owe on your credit cards" I say that info is upstairs, can I go get it? Then I leave the phone laying there until they hang up. It ties up their lines and frustrates their agents. Pressing "3" doesn't help so we should all do this.

These people call at least 3 times a day. Using different numbers I have press #3 to stop the calls. They keep coming. Today I pressed #1 to speak to an operator. She was very rude and didn't believe me when I said I didn't have a credit card!!! Said I was telling a lie, everyone has a card. I have at least 12 numbers that they use so far.

Have Received a Dozen Calls to reduce the rate on my credit card. Finally talked to someone, gave a fake credit card number, name and date of birth. Go figure. I was qualified to reduce my rate. When I questioned how I could be approved, the Lady became extremely mean, called me a low life troll. Then some $*()%&($*( and hung up on me... Success. I wasted their time. Of course, they are still calling.

Try adding the phone company tri-tone as the first part of your voice mail outgoing message. You can get it from many places - google it. Here's one...

http://www.thisisarecording.com/no-longer-in-service.html

So just play the three tones first and then say howdy to your callers and tell them that you just played that to thwart the telemarketers, leave a message/we'll call you back, etc. Then when telemarketers call, let the voice mail pick it up.

And always turn them in to donotcall.gov

This company is called National Bankcard Monitor. Website is
http://www.nationalbankcardmonitor.com/

I sat through a 30 minute call while exercising. They want to reduce my debt and wanted me to commit VERBALLY to paying them $995 on top of my credit card debt to have them "guarantee" lowering my payments.

These people call me 5-10 times each week from many different numbers. If anyone out there knows how to bomb their website with a Denial of Service (DOS), please go after them and try to shut it down.

These people are slim, the calls are illegal and aggravating to us all.

They've called me for well over 2 years now. Pressing 3 to stop does not help. I've hung up on the recorded portion more times than I can count. I've also tried to play along, but if I ask what company this is (nicely) they hang up. Even if I say I do owe money, they've still hung up on me. (perhaps it wasn't enough money for them)

My suggestion is to FILE A COMPLAINT on www.donotcall.gov I would imagine if most people did something would be done.

Good luck!

IS AS BOGUS .... as .... The.... ORIGINAL SITE I GOOGLED; ...which was "The Incoming phone number; 417-800-2317". I've been receiving SO Many of these calls as I see Many OTHERS continue to Receive and I DO NOT READ nor SEE Promise of Calls from this Number decreasing. Calls WILL Nor SHALL be REMOVED from any DATA BASES. This leaves me to believe; THOSE of US WHO are being proactive by trying to STOP these Incoming calls are WASTING Our time by responding with our Complaints and leaving this company with our IP addresses for this company to continue to brake the LAW by Using our PRIVATE Internet Information Open for THIS Company to share with multiple OTHER dishonest On Line Internet Agencies. FROM what I SEE; this IS "A WASTE" of TIME for those of Us who take time to complain without results or merrit. USELESS time PLUS giving MORE of our Personal Information to OTHER on line Agency's who Do Not Care about the consumers NOR do they CARE IF they treat on line customers farely and graciously; IS BOGUS ! ! ! "Filing a Complaint About this phone number; 417-800-2317... is Really doing Nothing but Increasing the number of calls we receive.

I kept on seeing this number call so I finally I picked up. They said they wanted to lower my credit card's interest rate. When I pressed the man to tell me what card this was in reference to he replied "the card we use to put in your mom's #$%^ hole" and then he hung up.

I called back to give them a piece of my mind and surprise, surprise, it went to an automated voice message.

So I guess they can't lower my rates????
