received from this a text from email@example.com stating (smiONE Account Frozen) call 417-283-6002. Got this text on my wifes phone and my phone at the almost the exact same time. We do not have any credit cards or out of our area payments except our home and cell phones which are Verizon. DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS IT IS A SCAM TRYING TO GET YOUR PERSONAL INFO.
I too have got a text from this (person?) saying I have an account issue. This is the second time I have got one of these texts.The other was from a different location in MO. and I didn't report it.I just deleted it.However I see it is going to be an on going problem so I will be reporting every text I get like this from now on.

I received a text alert claiming to be my SMIONE card carrier. I found it curious that it was a (417) area code so I hung up and called the card company about the text which said that my account had been frozen but I wanted them to verify it via customer service. It was a fraudulent text. I went ahead and changed my password for my own peace of mind. Still I hope that nothing from my card was obtained. Customer Service was very helpful about the matter. I urge you even if you do not have the card and receive this text to call the card companies customer service department to report it. The number for them is: 1-835-403-8342. The company itself only sends balance text alerts from the same number each time and won't attempt to contact you via text from another number, if you do have an account issue with them they will call you directly at the number that they have on file for you.
First received a phone call from a cheerful Claudia who said my 1st name. I know a claudia& number appeared local. I replied yes and she immediately disconnected. Since tnen have received 2 texts from simone about a frozen account on both our cell phones. About 24 hours apart.
got the same text..... put in a fake last 4 of social.....then they wanted my 16 digit account number for the card..... I dont have a card so i put in 16 numbers....the same numbers more three times.....kept telling me that account number was incorrect and it hung up on me:(
Do not now reply to international numbers, unknown or witheld of which I get three or four per day. I do wish someone would block these spam calls once and for all! Can BT not block this number which is annoying so many people?
I am also getting texts and they are trying to call me. I called my carrier and they have not got in to my account. I was told DO NOT ANSWER THEM OR TEXT BACK. There is a huge charge that will be added to your bill. I am turning this in to KY3 News and hopefully they will announce this.
