These guys call and try and talk you into what sounds like phoney tickets to shows in Branson. I finally answered because I got tired of the calls. Some guy named "Chris" started out nice, then got a bit angry/aggressive when I tried to tell him I wasn't interested.

Answer at your own peril!

Received call 7/12/16 3:35PM.
Didn't answer it, as I don't recognize number; just typed it in on Search line''

I CAN NOT BELIEVE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE ON THIS PAGE THAT ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS. WHY?
IF IT''S IMPORTANT, I ASSURE YOU THEY WILL LEAVE A VOICEMAIL OR SEND A LETTER. DO YOU LET STRANGE PEOPLE INTO YOUR HOUSE ALSO?

THIS IS THE SAME THING;
IGNORE THE CALL OR BLOCK IT! YOU ALL HAVE TO THINK FIRST OF RISKS OF ANSWERING UNKNOWN CALLS.

I agree with what you are saying; to a point. I answer without saying anything in order to see if it is a robocall. I then hangup and file a complaint with DoNotCall.gov at 888-382-1222. The more reports the FCC receives, the more attention that will be given to specific numbers.

I have an awesome spam blocker on my phone which has blocked this number every time they have tried to call. However, it has stopped this number at least 16 times. This is extreme in my opinion.

Call everyday even tho I asked to not be called. Plantinum Peaks Travel. Google Maps street view gives some seedy looking place. They even have a FB page. Think I will leave a nasty comment, but let me make sure my number is blocked. James Grier is the owner. Wish I had his home number. I'd call everyday at 8:59 pm asking if he wants to purchase used tupperware or some dumb s**t. Their number is also 417-720-1171.

SCAM. Wanted us to pay $100 some for a trip to Pigeon Forge. Literally were at dinner for our 5 year anniversary, and they didn't care. Then got shirt with my husband after he kept saying no for 10 mins. He hung up once and they immediately called back

They have called me every day for weeks now, sometimes twice a day. I finally answered two days ago and a woman told me they were calling me to congratulate me on being a finalist in a contest to win money/car from our local mall. (i honestly don't remember the last time I did that, it's been a loooong time) she wanted to confirm my email (which they had) and then proceeded to probe me about it I have ever been to the Smokey Mountains in TN and was asking me many personal questions (where I go on vacation usually, if I'm married etc) I asked her if I was a finalist in their contest then why the unnecessary questions. She told me the company sponsoring the contest was Blue Mountain Resort and they wanted to get some info from me. I hung up, googled the number, see that it was marked as spam. They tried calling yesterday, and once this morning and they called this evening. I had my husband answer(who was already aware of my call the other day), a young man blabbed the same speech, wanting to confirm my email, blue mountain resort, vacations etc. He carried on the conversation a little bit farther and the guy stated we would get the 7 night stay there just to tour the facility and we'd receive another voucher for any of their resorts worldwide. All they needed was $129 to hold our spot. He hung up. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM. Don't answer, block the number. They will not give up!

This is not a scam. The $129 dollars isn't to hold a spot that is to pay for your vacation lol. I bought a package from this company and it was a similar deal. It started at $169 with 1 trip to the smokey mountains TN. I told them I've been there and have other plans. After a few more objections I got the package for $119 with a $50 master card when I take the trip to the smokey mountains and I also got 3 days 2 nights to a location of my choice (49 different locations) and 7 days 7 nights condo stay to a location of my choice 81 locations. I bought the package they went over a audio receipt of my purchase and gave me a confirmation # and sent me a email also a letter by mail going over everything. Glad I didn't listen to all of you people who think this is a scam cause this will help me save hundreds if not thousands of dollars on my next 3 vacations. By the way I already called the reservation dept. for blue green resorts which is the company you stay with to verify my package and that the $119 covered everything except hotel tax cause that depends on when you travel and they told me they do have a package all set up for me I just need to call 2 weeks in advance to book my dates. Platinum Peaks Travel is the travel agency handling the promotion for Blue Green Resorts finalist in the cash or keys sweepstakes that's how they got your info. The reason they ask if your married is because to qualify for the package you have to be a day over 25 if your married you have to travel with your spouse. Also you have to be a home owner or make 60k a year in annual house hold income of your not a homeowner because they want to get word by mouth advertising by informing you about the benefits of blue green vacation ownership which they don't pressure you into it but if your younger then 25 or don't own a home or make 60k a year your definitely not going to be interested in vacation ownership.
