Not sure how these jerks are getting ny cell number -- I have never ever posted it publicly, it's registered with the "do not call" registry, and I'm very careful as to who I give it out to.That only leaves the company I got it from, and that would be Bell Canada. As far as I know, mobile numbers are supposed to be protected because we're charged for usage, so someone at Bell Mobility must be siphoning off numbers illegally and selling them. Mobile numbers aren't to ever be called from telemarketers (CRTC law), once again because we're charged by the minute for usage, so these companies are not only annoying us, but they're also breaking the law and invading our privacy!
Please go to the CRTC's website and report these numbers. If these jerks get slapped with a big fine and denied phone service, then maybe they'll finally get the message. Bell, Telus, Rogers, etc, should also be reported and investigated for allowing their employees to "leak" what are considered "private" numbers by law.
