I was billed on my Rogers payGo phone for $4.00 for an outgoing call I did not make. At the time, on July 6, 2016, I was in New Hampshire with the phone turned off. I plan to call Rogers. Their PayGo system has been plagued with problems for months.

Caller type: Unknown

I'm also new to Rogers PayGo system and have had three such spurious charges within three days. Talked to their PayGo help line (which 800 number I got from a competitor of Rogers) and the nice lady immediately credited my account with more than the spurious charges. She also gave me two different explanations (i) that this happens when one presses "1" for voice mail (which I don't have on my PayGo system) and (ii) that it happens if you press "411", or was it "611" - can't remember now.

Anyhow 416-272-2768 is apparently a Rogers cellphone number. Calling it on my landline gives me a Rogers Voice Mail response.

Randomly discovered this number had been set up in my phone as the number to forward my calls to for voicemail. I did not put it there. some kind of hack i presume. Yellow pages reverse lookup says this phone # is not in use but was primary phone number for CS Electric in Toronto.

I got a call from this number, aperantly the guy is from Rogers and offered me an internet deal which is toooo good to be true. 300 mbps unlimited data for $25 a month. Ahhhm yea very good deal. He said he's Rogers sales representative. So I called Rogers sales rep and told them what happened and they said yes it's too good of an offer and that's not how we do business with customers we call on official Rogers phone number and said it sounds like they want to steal your identity. So I ignored it. And he called me back today and I told him what do I need to sign up. He said phone number and driver license number and plus address. And the technician would come and install the modem. So idk if it's legit or fake

I was billed by Rogers Pay as Go almost every other months for calling 416-272-2768. I always have my phone with me, and I did not make even one call to 416-272-2768, and was billed for $17.55. Rogers, what is wrong with your system?

I called Rogers and was told that the calls were made from my phone. I did not make these calls and I always kept the phone with me. Very frustrated and annoyed.

I wanted to indicated the caller type was a "scammer" to get your attention but realize now that is an internal programming problem within the landline and mobile phone companies.

I am with Primus which is owned by Rogers. I was having my "613" home phone changed over to my new Primus cell phone with the same number replacing the existing "647" Toronto area code. It didn't get ported until Dec.04/15 and yet my cell phone shows that I called +1 416-272-2768 on Dec.02/15, about the time I would have called from my Toronto landline to pick up messages on my Marmora, Ontario landline. In order for me to pick up messages from my landline to my Marmora landline, I would have to press "9" instead of * which you would do with a cell phone. Whenever I was in Marmora using my landline to access my landline messages in Toronto, I had to press * in order to access the Toronto voice mail system. YET, now for me to use my Toronto landline to access my "613" cell phone messages, I have to press "9" and indicate my password. I also tried phoning +1 416-272-2768 without the +1 on my cell phone and it went directly to voice mail, asking for my password. I then cancelled my cellphone number in my contact list and now when I call 416-272-2768 without the +1, I actually got to talk with the person who owns that cell phone number instead of going to my voice mail.

I feel this is a technical programming problem with switching landlines over to cell phones and having to access the voice mail system with the number 9 instead of the *star.

The first time I called the 416-272-2768 without the +1 from my landline in Toronto, I got a voice mail saying that I had reached the Rogers voice mail system even though I am with Primus with everything, such as my landline, internet and cell phone. I made that call before my Marmora landline got transferred over to my new cell phone. NOW, since I have taken out my landline number for my Toronto home number out of my contact list, the problem so far seems to have corrected itself.
