Five calls on Sunday, 10Sep17. When I returned the call they reported that my Apple Id had been fraudulently accessed and requested me to connect to a URL to fix it (support12345.com).

Clearly not associated with Apple. Hung up after getting these details.

I got two robocalls from "Apple" stating that my account was compromised. This seemed highly suspicious, so I looked up the phone number before calling back. There have been a LOT of complaints about this number. Can't the REAL Apple sue these guys?!?

Beware of this one, the phone number is the number of an Apple store in San Francisco and the caller ID says Apple. If you answer, you are instructed to either Press 1 to speak to a technician or call back on 855-225-7470. I made the mistake of pressing 1 and the guy I spoke told me that my iCloud account had been hacked and to scan and restore my system would cost$400. He was very convincing and almost had me convinced that he was legitimate until he asked me to go to my nearest store and get $400 in iTunes gift cards. I knew right then that this was a scam and hung up. I called Apple tech support to report this, they told me they would never conact anyone this way but otherwise didn't seem too excited. Don't answer any calls from this number

In response to:

This number calls me repeatedly and tells me I need to talk to someone about my apple account. I held on to talk to someone and told them to remove me from the call list and they hung up on me. They keep calling.

Caller name: Apple

Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

You might try calling them back and pretending to go along with the scam until they ask you to give them remote access / username & password to your computer / iCloud account. Then tell them you got a pop-up window that says "I'll keep calling you back and wasting your time until you stop calling me." But be aware that when you call a toll-free number, your number shows up even if you have blocked it. Don't say anything that could be interpreted as threatening or sexually harassing.

I received Robocalls today every 90 minutes from 12:07P to 5:58P (so far). My answering machine did not respond by pressing "1" or "2", which usually discourages robots, but not this one. Since it's Sunday, I can't call AT&T to see about blocking it, but I suspect the number is spoofed, maybe even on a rotating or random basis. This is just another "remotely detected problems on your computer" scam. I called the 415 number, which is a real Apple store, and they are aware of the problem and "working to stop the calls" whatever that means.
