IF you will press the number 1 after the recording, it rings several times and someone usually answers. I try to info so I can file a lawsuit against them calling this number. they usually slam the phone down before I can get complete info. these ppl suck......I am ON the do not call list, have been for years.
I'm on the national do not call list as well. This doesn't seem to mean anything anymore? These companies have no respect for it and there seem to be know consequences for violating companies. I would vote for any presidential hopeful that simply ran on the single promise of setting up some kind of intelligence task force to investigate, impose and enforce heavy fines for every robocall dialed and every live solicitation call to a do not call number. If the gov didn't find a way to spend more on the task force than it collected, they might even solve the Social Security issue:) Two Birds:) Here's Dreamin!
Caller name: Caller identified self as marketing firm for websites
I missed a call and checked reverse phone lookup before calling back. I saw the comments and decided to call the number anyway to see if I could get myself removed.
I called back and got a live person. Said he was with a marketing company. He asked if I "get a lot of annoying calls," and when I asked why he wanted to know that, he said that if calls like the one I got from them annoy me I should contact D&B to update my info! I hadn't told him I was annoyed or really told him anything. It was all assumed.
BTW, he knew who I was based on the number i was calling from, and said he had already built a website for me for my business and wanted me to go to a computer to let him show me the site. I asked how he got my number and he said he had a lead from Dun & Bradstreet. (that would be because of a company I was with a few years back.)
