Wow - 58 Minuets! That beat my best. I used to do the same, lead them on with false information and waste there time too. I finally got boarded with it.

I'm now thinking that we should petition Washington D.C. to put all the NSA phone data to GOOD use and find out where these calls come from. After all, the calls are a criminal act threatening the financial security of millions of Americans and defrauding our banking system.

Okay..there've been plenty of complaints posted...calling these entities scammers and frauds..

You know what.? . I'm not bothered by the scam/fraud in and of itself.

What TRULY offends me is that these crooks are so INEPT at trying to defraud me....

I mean.. they go to the trouble of creating a legit-sounding name like "Bank Card Services".... and yet they haven't CLUE ONE as to how a business person interacts.

First... if I get a call from ANYONE and the purpose is of a non-social nature.. .. then the first thing the person needs to do is
IDENTIFY YOURSELF!
Followed by
IDENTIFY the NAME of YOUR COMPANY
then
ASK ME for my name or at least give the name of the person with whom you wish to speak.

DUH!

After all YOU called ME because I was "selected", right?

What makes you think without a proper introduction or at least at FIRST, an understanding of who's who is, why would you start off with
"Do you owe more than 3000 dollars...?"

Why would I answer that question...coming from someone I don't know and haven't had time to vet their company?

These "callers" are not merely untrained in basic telephone etiquette... they are CLUELESS.

So you know what I do?

I "play" with them... keep them on the phone as long as possible, pretending to be interested and stringing them along.. having them wait "as I look for the wallet with the credit card in the other room." I give them unverifiable demographic information about myself. FAKE numbers, FAKE bank names, and so on... what's amazing.. all through this time.. they STILL haven't asked for my name!

I once stepped outside to talk to my neighbor for 20 minutes, keeping those idiots on hold.... My personal record is 58 minutes before they either gave up and hung up or I let them have it with $#)(*&)#(@&()#& .. finishing with .. Call me again tomorrow so I can save some more of YOUR time!

You want to blame someone... Blame yourself for providing your actual phone number to various institutions, which in turn "sell them" to listing agencies. Frankly, I think you need to make it clear to the BANK and LENDING INSTITUTIONS who have your number on file.. that they are NOT allowed to share that information with anyone. If they refuse to comply,, then switch banks/CC until you find one that safeguards your privacy/confidentiality.

BEWARE --- This number calls for one week, twice monthly. Each call is my "2nd, and final notice to lower CC interest as regards the govt stimulus ". Oh, pleeez! This has been going on for over two years. This call is reportedly coming from Eastern Europe, through Canada, then via burner phones in the USA. BEWARE! MAJOR PHISHERS.

My caller ID says "Bankcard Svcs." I ignore it most of the time; they call about twice a week with a recording that says they can lower my credit card debt (I have NO CREDIT CARDS). Usually, these companies get around the DNC laws by putting at the very end of the recording an option to press a button to have your number removed from their list. So, I listened all the way through. No such option. So, I pressed 1 to be connected to an agent and told her that I wanted to be removed from the list. She hung up on me.

I spent a better part of today researching this number to get to the bottom of it. I posted early about Jodi who was very nice and directed me to the correct company. I called CALLERID4U and the ADMIT to owning and controlling this number. To stop the calls call 206-792-9399 and file a formal complaint with them and demand your number be removed from their call list. Then, notify the FLORIDA ATTORNEY GENERAL and let them know that CALLERID4U has admitted that this number and it's fraudulent use belongs to them NOT to International Telcom, LTD and file a formal complaint there. I hope this helps.

These people call multiple times a day victimizing people, especially the elderly by promising them lower interest rates. Even if you are on the National Do Not Call List or tell them directly to stop calling, they will increase the number of calls to your number. Here is the phone number for the corporation in Washington that the phone number actually belongs to. Everyone needs to call and file a complaint with JODI at INTERNATIONAL TELCOM, LTD. His phone number is 206-479-5200. That company is the one responsible for these calls. Let's flood his number and make him stop the harassment!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recorded message about "credit" with deceptive "Urgent" warning, and deceptive "this is your final notice" verbiage.

Home phone land line has received similar messages several times per week for at least 2 years. Phone # is on US National Do Not Call Registry.

Within past month, I pressed # 3 in response to the recorded message. Message said that doing so would discontinue further services, but did not specifically say that the # would be taken off the call list. Pressing # 3 did not stop the calls.

The complaints on this list include reports of astounding verbal abuse engaged in by the live personnel who are employed by the company behind the calls. It is astounding and disturbing that the FCC has been unable to close down this harassing and verbally abusive business.

These ridiculous people call me several times a day offering my last chance for low interest on credit card interest or whatever....I have, like others, tried to call them back (in the beginning) to get my number taken off the list. The female operator said, "I can't do that...in fact, we will never stop calling you. My advice to you is to just stop answering your phone." I replied, "are you not the least bit interested in knowing that I will NEVER sign up for your services." She responds, " We have heard that before...and people eventually do."
Wow...like they have such a great product or they are convinced that you will become desperate at some point and accept whatever it is they are offering. Anyway, I see that there is a way they actually get paid just for making the call (in other posts here or on another board), successful or not, so that makes sense...as otherwise, the point of going on for years calling the same number with no success makes no sense. Anyway, as you all are figuring out by now, the "system" in this country is to support the super wealthy with various types of welfare paid for by regular people, while telling you that its people on welfare and disability that are ruining the nation's financial well-being. In fact, the wealthy and corporations no longer pay any taxes, get you to fight among each other, and make all the rules (including about these bizarre telemarketing calls) that make it impossible for us average citizens to do anything about. I just want to ask everyone, "How is all this going for you?" Thats rhetorical as a lot of people here will cite example after example of how the lie that people who are like them or poor or sick ARE the cause of all the problems with the budget, specifically, or society, in general, while right under our noses, all the while the banks and credit care companies ARE, in fact, selling (sharing) your information with their "FINANCIAL PARTNERS." Who do you think financial partners are? Oh, now you are getting it...WHEN you ask your major banking or credit card institution IF THEY are selling information to these a-hole telemarketers, you are asking the question WRONG....because they are just "sharing" YOUR information with "FINANCIAL PARTNERS." I have confirmed this. ALL the major banking and credit institutions ARE selling YOUR information to these pathetic, nasty people who lack integrity, just like ALL the major banks LACK integrity. You have to dig deep, but if you do, you will find that major institutions - ALL of THEM - are in on this....just like they are all in on the fact that for the middle class, life keeps getting harder for most while they have convinced most of you that the cause are people less fortunate than you. So, who do I blame for calls on Saturday and at dinner? I put the blame where it belongs...on the American Public, who allowed it to happen. Benjamin Franklin said (not too long AFTER he helped get the Constitution done by stopping both sides - Federalists and Anti-Federalists from arguing that summer in Philadelphia), "A corrupt people will deserve the despotic government they have, AND the experiment of democracy will end."....yes, he said the corruption of the people would precede the devolution into a despotic government...and all for one very obvious reason...Greed...and dishonesty that surrounds it. Too bad he was right. :(

They offer to lower interest rates on your credit card. I receive frequent calls from this number and other numbers. They never give a call back number for their company. I chat with them for as long as I can to waste their time. I play interested and then put them on hold forever while I look for my card or play hard of hearing and have them repeat everything multiple times. Usually they hang up as soon as they feel they are not getting your card number. If you ask to be placed on their no call list they just hang up. They are criminals, scammers! the message from this # is the same message i have been receiving for more than a year- sometimes daily, sometimes weekly- though not always from this same phone #. calls come at all hours of the day and evening.
"it is urgent that you contact us concerning your eligibility to lower your credit card interest rate." voice goes on to state that i can "press 1 to lower your credit card interest rate". this is followed by the threat/promise "consider this your final notice".
if i "press 1 now" to speak to someone there is a longish wait for a live operator whose greeting is "are you calling to lower your credit card interest rate?" when i say stop calling me, the call is disconnected.
i suspect this is a gateway for identity theft.

BANKCARD SVCS has been calling my DO NOT CALL telephone number for a couple of years despite the fact I am on both the National Do Not Call and my state Do Not Call list. Various telephone numbers are used by this entity. The call today shows, according to this site, that it comes from Arlington, Wa. others have also been from that state, though not all. Nothing dissuades them. Reading through these complaints I feel a bit less frustrated. On their next call I'll take another complainants advice and "play along", keeping them on the line as long as possible. Thanks, and the air horn idea was amusing, but I'd upset family members if I did that. Still sounds like a great idea, get the earplugs out kids :)

Same experience as all of the aforementioned complaints. What started as
a polite attempt to refuse their offers has divulged into profanity and hang-ups
by the callers. I'm sure they've intimidated at least a few victims into giving
them their personal information, other wise how could they stay in business?
These people are ruthless predators and won't take no for an answer. Being
polite and courteous doesn't work. That's like blood in the water to a shark.

My experience with these people include all of the complaints I've read
from others receiving the unwanted calls. Even after refusing their offers
and politely asking to be taken off their caller list, they eventually call back
and the process starts over as if they didn't know it. When asked to speak
with a manager they hang up and when asked questions about their
business credentials they hang up. During my last call on 05/07/14 the
person on the phone told me f**k YOU! and hung up after questioning
why they keep calling. I've had to turn off my answering machine at home
possibly missing valuable messages as a result of their continuous calls
which have become more confrontational and obscene.

I am so sick and tired of these calls I have done everything to stop them. Polite and they say will remove, not done. Rude and they hang up. Don't call list does not work and the no call list was not functional for a few years came back and now useless again. Wish I had their address so I could harass the you know what out of them.
