The caller showed up on caller ID as John Kendall, but identified himself as "james", and that he was calling from the technical department of ??? about my computer. He hung up on me when I told him I knew this was a scam and to take my name off their list.

Based on various results returned from Google searches I am no longer answering this number. I don't make it a point to answer phone numbers I don't recognize, anyway, but I thought I'd leave a note for others ...

I've been getting calls from this number several times a week since appx. March 2014. No messages left. I have never picked up the call.

Called me just out of the blue. Caller had heavy accent from Pakistan or middle east, maybe India. Insisted I turn my computer on so they could fix it. Said I had downloaded a virus and my computer was crashing (it is working fine, I am a programmer with 40+ years of experience, work on computes myself). Caller VERY insistent that I turn on my computer and that it was crashing. Turned me over to supervisor. I told them my computer WAS on and had been for weeks. And that I had no plans to let them work on it. Then I hung up. Someone needs to stop these people, shut them down!

I get calls from these creeps at least twice or three times a week. My experience is about the same as others have described. Heavy Indian/Pakistani accent; says my computer has a virus; they are returning my call; they are calling from Windows tech support. For what's worth, everyone can add this name to their growing list of caller IDs to avoid. "ACS V EXPANS"

He keeps calling me.
"Sam".
One day he continuously called and gradually they went from "you have a virus. turn on the computer. we fix this."
to, "baby I love you. take your panties off. kiss me. touch me. let me f(expletive)* you. you break my heart. if you don't say you love me back, I can commit the suicides."
he called again today pretending to be someone else and I tried to complain about the calls from the "company" and before I knew it, I heard a creepy laugh and the words "I love you."
This needs to stop.
I will not hesitate to get the police involved.
I don't like this.

I saw this name on Caller ID this afternoon. We know an actual person with a similar name but who has a totally different phone number, so I thought I'd check it out. After reading about this scam, I notified friends and family members, especially elderly ones who don't understand computers very well, to ignore these calls even though the name looks familiar. I also told the person with the similar name about this, and told themto pass it on to their friends/family.

This number shows up on my CID as "unknown" sometimes but usually as John Kendall.
The first time they called I was told by a male with a heavy accent (sounded Indian or Pakistani) that I was having a problem with my computer and they needed me to log in so they could fix it. I respectfully said "no thank you" and hung up.
The second time (that week) they called I was a little shorter and told them "I am not interested in their service and to take me off their call list". He was than insistent that I talk to a "tech. supervisor". I asked "what part of I'm not interested do you not understand?" They hung up.
The third call a few days later they tried the same script. I informed them that I was a certified technician and had been involved in the industry for nearly two decades and that I am quite aware of how my computer is doing and told them if they do not stop calling me I will report them. He swore at me and hung up.
They call a couple times a week now and just hang up when I answer although if they get my wife or one of my kids on the phone they try to pitch them.
These people need stopped!

Supervisor 'Peter' a heavily accented scammer from "Windows" trying to get me to go the site www.help1010.com so that they could fix a virus on my computer. I like these guys. They are so earnest when they think they've got one. I usually play with them for 8 minutes then I tell them that I do not believe their mother and father would be proud of the work they do, and that I hope they had as much fun wasting 8 minutes as I had. I then tell them "may God bless you" and then politely hang up. I'm retired so I have the time...

Caller name: James

I got a call this morning from a person named James. He has heavy accent from India or Pakistan. He claimed that my computer was infected and he was from Microsoft calling people to help them fix their computers. I am retired and my son happens to be working at Microsoft tech support dept. So, I know that this is a scam trying to get people to inject malwares in their computers. Since I am retired and get bored sometimes during the day, I had so much fun to engage and waste as much of his time as possible in this call. I had him going on circles with him on the phone. I played dumb with him and asked him to help switch on my computer and did not enter the commands as instructed and instead told him that I had pressed some wrong keys; input incorrect commands, etc., and, had accidentally shut down my computer. (Of course, I didn't do anything and was not even in front of my computer). I told that my computer was very old and would take a long time to reboot. He finally got frustrated and hang up. I had him on the phone for 10+ minutes. I figure that if I could waste more time with such scammers, they would have less time to scam other people.

Calls from this phone number is a scam. Don't waste time on it. But if you get bored sometimes like me, it will make your day to play with this caller. I know they will call back soon. I will have some more fun again.

Yep, John Kendall. 347-753-9068. Lady with an Indian-sounding accent who said she was calling from Microsoft because I'd recently bought something from them and was entitled to a refund. I kept her on the phone as long as possible (to prevent her from reaching other people) before finally telling her that I would be contacting the Attorney-General of my state to report a scam.

At that point she told me that my computer was now locked and unusable. Then she hung up.

Have had calls/caller Id left for past 3 weeks. Consistently, caller is a male with Indian/Pakistani accent who does not identify himself other than being with Microsoft ; his ambiguous goal is to fix "my virus problem." I reminded him that a megacompany like Microsoft normally shows up on phone ID with a toll-free number and not an individual's name, ie, John Kendall. May those of us with good reason ignore these fools; they're scammers and not even good at it!

Phone rang. Checked Caller ID. Didn't recognize the number. Didn't answer. Done. No muss. No fuss. Not much time taken up with nonsense.
Didn't pick up to let the caller(s) know that it was a viable number. Didn't listen to find out what accent was used or what the purpose of the call was. Didn't care then. Don't care now.
Didn't get upset if the DNC was adhered to (I'm on it but scammers, who don't follow the DNC guidelines, will find ways to get around it) or what Obama is going to do about it.
I have a life and instead of getting bent out-of-shape, morally indignant, cursing and slamming the phone down, and making this a big deal (instead of the small irritant that I choose to make it), I move on with my life. I'm in charge of what takes up my time.
That's just what I do. Simple. More power for me and for you, if you follow my lead, right?

P.S. The DNC IS working; otherwise, calls from legitimate charities, political action
committees, annual fundraising, and other businesses that ARE following the
guidelines would be calling, also.

Lady, with very heavy accent called with a refund, I explained that I have not purchased anything for a refund and politely hung up. She called back and asked "Why you hung up, you no want refund?"
I asked to talk with a manager or supervisor. A man got on the phone and began berating me for not wanting my refund and not wanting my new car.
I politely asked to be taken off their call list and that I have not purchased anything. He hung up.
This is probably the twentieth time I have received a call from these people, I answered this time due to, I do not have an answering machine, so have never been home when they have called in the past.
Yep, they are scammers and the sad thing is that I almost recognized the mans voice from some blocked numbers I used to receive last year about viruses on my computer and about having won a sweepstakes.
I have to wonder if they are piggybacking onto the phone number that shows up, because I seriously doubt that they are even in the country.
