Sales call from a company called goigi.com purporting to offer web design services. After perusing their site I opted not to do business with them but the telemarketer was quite persistent. They obviously mined a recent GoDaddy registration for a domain I bought. Their portfolio was pretty bad and I find myself wondering if they are really trying to sell web design services or if there is some other kind of scam involved. Either way it it probably not a good use of your time to speak with them.

Caller name: Anthony

Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

I received a call on my personal cell phone 2014-02-06 from a man with a non-American accent (Asian? Indian?) who identified himself as Anthony from the company Computer Security, in the Technical Support department. He asked if I was in front of my computer (I was not, but was at a meeting at work), since there were problems with updates. He left the number to call him back at later as 347-535-4547.

Clearly this is a scam, and involves the same group of people described by others above.

Man had an accent and was calling to fix my computer. THANK YOU for this information, because I actually have been having Microsoft issues and "almost" believed him. I was not home at my computer, so he gave me the 347 535 4547 number to call him back.

Needless to say, after reading this forum, I will not be calling this SCAM!!

THANKS!

Just got a call on my cell phone from 347-535-4547, "Susan" who had an Indian accent. She said she's from a computer security company and my computer has not been able to get Windows 7 updates, so if I would turn on my computer, she'd walk me through it. I said I have several computers, which one is it? She kept saying that I should go to the computer if I'm near it. I said "you're callilng on my cell phone, and this could be a scam because there is so much theft of personal identities now." She said she assures me they are a "legitamate company". I asked for a number where I can call her back, just to make sure, and that I wasn't home anyway so I couldn't access my computer. This is the number she gave me. She said she will call me later. The caller ID came up "Unknown".

Well, got taken too!! I KNOW they're from India - had problems with another company like this in Sep 2013 -- guy who went into my personal accounts & used my credit card. US bank etc were very helpful & got my $ refunded.
I'm usually pretty savvy - but they said that Microsoft's updates weren't reaching my computer -- they did scans to show me. But on that issue they were right or I wouldn't have checked.
They told me because of the Sep hacking my original MS license could be hacked again. So this pretend guy 'Brad Wilkin' worked for hours on my computer - & really did NOTHING. Now I have to go AGAIN to Office Depot to get it fixed or sign up with MS.
I've already called the 800 537 4174 # & there's NO ANSWER --duh. I'll try the 347 535 3666 asking for my $ back. I'm sure they'll refuse then my credit card company, who already opened a fraud case will get after them. Also - had called MS & they assured me they NEVER make calls!!!!!
Just wanted to share.

Just received a similar call form 347-535-4547 wanting to remotely get into my computer to fix a Microsoft problem. He said my computer would crash and I'd loose everything if this wasn't taken care of right away. He had a middle Eastern accent and said the company name was Computer Security. Their web site is techinline.net. I would say not to trust them.

Never give any info.

received a call on my home phone from a number that came up (0) on my caller ID. I hung up the first time. They called back about 20 minutes later from a 9090 number, I answered and the Indian man on the other end told me he was from "Microsoft technical support" and told me my computer was at risk and asked me to put a number into my computer. I told him the owner of the computer were not home so I wasn't doing it. He asked when he could call back and I could tell that he was some kind of telemarketer or scammer so I told him not to Call back. I had my home phone on speaker phone and my whole family heard him call me a mother F***** and a B*****d. I wasn't sure if I heard him right the first time and asked him to repeat himself and he repeated the same thing twice. we tried to call the number back after he hung up but it said he was out of service. we found a phone number from a call we received a few days earlier so I googled it and it brought me to this website.3475354547 guess we weren't the only ones they were trying to scam.
