Oh my Goodness, they called for a week straight non stop. So I finally called back because I was to busy to answer before. It appeared to be be "credit one bank number" . So I went to go check if I was due for payment (and I wasnt do for another week) but I had planned to answer next time they called and I just did a few min ago. I knew right away it was fake. I explained I will pay online and the gentleman insisted for me to pay over the phone then they wanted to charge me $10 for a possessing fee I was like h**l no and hung up. Wow scammers work day and night people. Please stay ALERT!!!

Caller name: Say they're Credit One

Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

I was 2 days late on my payment (my bad - just worked 4 nights straight, put in over 50 hours). Called me 5 times yesterday in a matter of a few hours. Called me twice already this morning - the 2nd time was about 15 minutes after I made a payment online of well over the minimum amount due. The guy that called me spoke broken English & spoke very rapidly. Could only understand 1/2 of what he said; however, I did understand him all 5 times - in - a - row - that he firmly requested/demanded I make a payment of $25 more. I asked him "why would I do that when I just paid MORE than the balance due?!" He s stumbled on his words for a second then asked "Excuse me?" I repeated myself. He then said "To bring down my balance further." Then he pressured me AGAIN to pay more money. I told him IF I were to do that I absolutely would not give my information over the phone. Again, I got "Excuse me?" I repeated myself. He told me that was fine, I could use my bank account of choice. Huh?? I told him "Look, I already made a payment. Don't harass me to make more." He tried to tell me he was just trying to benefit me. I stopped him there & told him "Don't harass me anymore." He apologized & I hung up. End of story. No idea if they are legit or not. Go with your gut - but I would strongly suggest paying online or by snail mail!!!!!

Calls at 8am on a Sunday a week before the bill is due! Ugh! Apparently in the terms and agreement, you give them permission to call at any time. In order to stop you must send in some form of letter as stated in the terms! So ridiculous! We should all start a class action lawsuit against them for harassment!

Caller name: Credit One Bank Collecton Agency

Caller type: Debt Collector

I too get these calls every 20-30 minutes with no messages left. So I called the number back and they told me I needed to make a payment. I informed them my bill was not due for another week and when that time comes, I will make the payment. I asked him where he was located because I could literally not understand him. He stated that their headquarters is in Las Vegas. I asked him again where he is located and he would only tell me their headquarters are in Las Vegas.

I called Credit One Bank at the phone number in Las Vegas, NV. Informed them I am getting harassing phone calls from a Texas Phone number which is the state I live in. I let them know that I am receiving these calls every 20-30 minutes and while I am at work up til I go to sleep and they never leave a message.

Credit One CSR (who didn't speak good English so it was hard to understand) stated that I am receiving those calls from their Collection Agency because I was over my credit limit. I informed them I was over the limit by $3 and calling me continuously is harassment and is illegal the United States. I ordered them to stop the calls immediately. He then continued to tell me that if she removes my number, I will not be informed should my bill become overdue. I politely informed him that my bill isn't overdue, it's not due for another week and I do monitor my transactions on a regular and continuing basis and therefore DO NOT need a collection agency to contact me for a payment that is not yet due.

So basically, this company contacts you to demand payment immediately regardless if your bill is due yet or not if you are close to or over your credit limit. ALSO, you have to pay the over limit PLUS your minimum due or they report you and charge you a late fee. I personally haven't had this happy but I found out from someone else who has this company that this is their practice.

So my friendly advice, if you have this company, DO NOT go over your credit limit OR pay it off and get rid of it. If you want the calls to stop, you need to call them and tell them to remove your number from their Collections Agency.

tl;dr The number is legit. It belongs to the collection department.

I got a bunch of calls from this number a week before my payment was due. I just refused to answer them thinking they were probably political campaign calls. I googled the number today and found this thread. I called the number back and it was a man with a strong Indian (red dot not feather) accent claiming he was from Credit One Bank. He said my payment was overdue (which is was) and asked how much I could pay today. I told him x*x amount and I could pay it tomorrow. He scheduled a payment for tomorrow for x*x amount and made me authorize it over the phone. He only verified information. Didn't ask for my whole SSN, just the last 4. He asked me to verify my address, phone number, and email address.

After this phone call and reading this thread I became concerned. I called the 877 number on the back of my card to confirm this was in fact Credit One Bank. The lady on the phone confirmed this stating it was the collections department. She also confirmed the scheduled ACH payment amount and date.

You can reach somebody at the 877 number by pressing 0 a few times. AFAIK this 325 number is legit. I don't know about them calling to upsell services or anything because I never answered previously when my payment wasn't due.

Identified themselves as Credit One Card credit which I have , informing me that my payment was due today which it is not . Wanted me to give payment over the phone when I explained I wasn't going to be doing that I will do it later , knowning payment was not due till next week . I have no problem making payment early or on due date just not comfortable doing it over the phone like that . Your always told do not give out info over the phone to anyone claiming to be from your bank credit cards etc. This is the first time they have called me asking for my payment . I am very leery since the other day I had a scammer call me already having my personal infomation spending my day on the phone with my bank , credit reporting agencies, states attorney office and FBI . So as you can imagine I am on high alert

Researched phone number.
They call every single day (including Sunday's - which is illegal).
I have a card, but always pay on time, yet they have been calling every single day for two weeks now and at least 3-6 times a day, starting at 6:30 a.m. my time.
I do not answer numbers I do not know because of all the theft going around through phones and emails.
Just got a call again while writing complaint.
It is 8:52 in the morning
