Some guy called my daughter and wanted to get a credit card number so he could publish some poems he saw online 3 years ago. Offered her a 'one time deal to publish 7 poems for $600.00, but he would take $200.00 off if she would buy now. When she hesitated, he said he could take her credit card number and not process it until she said so. He knew her age (minor) and asked what state she lived in (which he knew because he called her) and knew she attending school outside of her hometown. He also knew how many hours away her school was from her hometown and her nickname. He said he would call back which he did, but we blocked the number. This guy is up to no good, whether it is stealing or stalking or worse. I wonder how many calls are to underage females. My daughter had never published anything on this publishing site. He just found her via social media and came after her. Be warned and beware.

I answered the call once on this number. They offered a deal for $3000 to publish my book on amazon, kindle, and audible.

This is a scam because it is FREE to publish on these platforms...

Four years ago I found an ad on Facebook for getting help publishing a book.
This person called me and told me about a magazine where writers publish bits of writing and give writing tips, etc.
They asked me if I had any money saved for publishing a book, maybe 2000-3000$.
Then they tried to get me to give them credit card information to sign up for the magazine. I expressed I was not comfortable doing so, and being the pushover I am, was not blunt enough and so they kept trying to convince me.
At the end of the call, the rep very bluntly asked, "Are you interested or not, cause I don't wanna waste our time." At this point, the tone in their (I dont know if they are male or female, I can't tell) voice became snide and impatient. Finally I told them, no, I'm not interested, and they hung up on me. I promptly blocked them.
They probably tried to call me two or three more times before giving up.
Flash forward to four years later, and it's the same person trying to call me. Block them immediately.

I would also like to add I was underage at the time and they did ask me what state I live in. Honestly could just be a money scam, or, based off of other comments about them targeting underage writers, could be something worse - human trafficking?

Kept calling for more than 20 times every now and then by different staff after signing up on Facebook many years ago for interest of book publishing. Sometimes left a message on voice mail and asked victim to call back 1-888-7954274. But no matter what I tried to contact them to complain and express no longer interested, they just ignored my request and kept calling. Super annoying!

They called me and they were labeled as a telemarketer on my iPhone and then I searched their number and I never gave Xiblis Publishing my number. The freaky thing is that I am writing a book and I went to a website to match me with a publisher (traditional) as I mentioned before I just gave them my email and I haven't said anything else so the fact that they know my name is freaky.

This number called me around 6:30 and when he called it was a two second ring then he hung up. So I figured maybe it was the wrong number but then around 6:35 the number called again, this time i picked it up to see who it was and what they wanted. On the phone was a man with a thick accent, I understood that he said that I called him and that he wanted me to donate money so he could publish books he gave me two options 1) pay $400 and publish 3 books or 2) pay $700 and publish 6 books. I knew I hadn't called him and so I knew it was a scam then when I was about to hang up he said my email address and that I could have an online bill. I said no and then I he said that I was ruining his dream and he hung up. He was talking to a minor and I hope he doesn't trick anyone with this.

6/30/14 10:57 am This guy called and told to have faith.... Just send $2300 western union or money gram and he would schedule delivery for my medication. I said Faith is something I have in Jesus Christ not in man. Jesus always does the right thing, man does not.
How can I be sure that I get what I pay for, send it COD or use PayPal. Or maybe send it to me and once I receive it I will western union you payment. That sounds good to me. Now who should have Faith?

Called at 9:50 am Arizona time and asked to speak with my son. When I asked who was calling, the female said that they wanted to talk to my son about a book that he is writing. He is not a writer, he is not writing a book, etc. This is obviously some kind of scam.
