Caller name: Synovate

I called the above toll free number to be added to their "do not call" list. Can you believe the pure arrogance of these people?? During the process to be added to the list they actually ask if you have any questions would you like someone to call you back?........ Seriously???? What do these people at Synovate believe regarding the intelligence level of the majority of the people that will call? We are making the effort to make sure they will not call us anymore, and believe that the caller will actually REQUEST that they contact them, thus immediately nullifying the request not to call. Then they give themselves a 2 day window to continue calling by notifying you it MAY take "a day or 2" for the number to be added. What bald arrogance these idiots actually think they are so much smarter than the general populace they dare insult the caller, I believe a class action lawsuit against them for the absolute insult to our intelligence, there is no damage award but how about a punitive award to send a clear message that a company may not inconvenience us, then force us to take action that by the very nature of the situation they created we MUST do if we do not want this company, that is bothering you so they can make a profit, with no compensation to you,(without whom (collectively) they would have absolutly no product to sell).
What gives them the right to use us for their profit??
Either pay me 75% of what my input is sold for and, 25% each time research including my information is used, and they must solicit my involvement by spending on advertising like every other company that wants public involvement.

I received a call in August 2011 from 00000 and it scared me so I did not open it until October. Once I listened to the message a foreign accent (could be Nigerian or African). It stated the name of friend that had commented fraud and I was somehow involved. They were going to court in California and I needed to contact them immediately.
I called my friend and she said she got a call implicating her. She talked to the FBI and they told her to go to the police. We went to the police together and they were not able to do anything.
I went to AT & T store and they said I needed to contact customer service. The customer service said they can't do anything with the #0000000000 - somehow it is protected by law that it can't be blocked. They offered to give me a new phone # at no charge.
They told me to just answer the phone and find out what they wanted. I did that and they hung up on me and have been calling me from 5 to 20 times a day since. They stopped for about a week so I thought it was over. Then it started again and is escalating every day. I also get calls from all over the country that are scams and I don't answer them. I gave it a special ring so that I don't kill myself trying to run & answer the scam caller. I don't want a new phone # but I think that is the only solution. anyone else have this issue? HELP
(Every time I replayed the 00000 message to let police or someone hear it ....the calls increased) HELP

thanks for the phone # Kelly..i am just so tired of this people..think I'll do that right now, remove me from their call list.

Got a call from this number this afternoon. It says " Synovate" on caller ID. I didn't make it on time to pick up - they had already hung up. I googled the company name and came across their website. Here is how they put it :
" Synovate is a global market research firm that generates insights to help clients drive competitive brand, product and customer experience strategies. "

So pretty much it's a marketing - survey group. I oppose to participate in those, unless I'm paid, so I won't be calling them back that's for sure

A man from IPSOS called and woke me up. I asked him if he knew what time it was and he said no, he was on the west coast. I told him I was on the east coast and not to call again. After hanging up he immediately called back just to be abusive.

How do we block these calls? Phone companies and government like these calls. Because of the revenue and taxes they generate. I think we the people have just lost our phones. Along with our other rights. I.e. Prayer in schools, flag presentation, right to own guns, right to work, etc.

Caller name: IPSOS

If you want to stop these type calls, just register your number with the national do not call service. Complaining about it to the FTC won't really stop them.

I find it amazing that this phone number has been bothering people for YEARS!! I got my first taste of them yesterday when they called repeatedly. Not recognizing the number, I let it go to voicemail each time and never did they leave a message. It does get one a little concerned that it **may** be of some importance and a quick Google check finds this abundance of complaints about this number. I've blocked it too now but why does the public have to keep wasting their time, energy and money stopping these harrassing phone calls?? I'm so fed up with it.

This number has called my home for the past 2 weeks and they never say anything when I answer the phone. They stay on the line then hang up. So the next time they call I will pick up my phone then hang up. Tired of these annoying calls. I am on the do not call list.
