I received my first phone call at about 8pm 3 weeks ago. I asked to be removed from there list and that I did not wish to participate in there survey. One week Later at about 730 pm I received another phone call and informed the gentleman that I had already requested to not be called. He informed me that I the survey was important and I needed to represent others like me. I asked to be left alone and no more calls. Tonight I received another phone call. Before she could finish her first sentence, I stopped her and told her that I had requested to not be called on two different occasions. She informed me that she did have those requests in her notes, but that this survey was important and I needed to participate. I told her I was way too busy and just did not have the time. She pressed even harder to find out how many children lived in my home and how old they were. I told her once again to leave me alone and that I do not wish to participtate. I feel like I am being harassed with hopes that I will finally just break and take there survey. No means no and I my wishes should have been taken into consideration.
I just received the same call and they claimed to be the CDC and the funny part is the government is shut down right now and they're still calling people... Idiots! I told them I knew it was a scam and to piss off and hung up but they've already called me twice and I'm starting to get annoyed...
I've gotten numerous calls from this number so I finally answered. I can't remember the woman's name, but she kept trying to get personal information about my child and would get very rude and talk over me when I refused to give it to her. They've called in the middle of the night, very early in the morning, and very late at night-all at times you'd expect something like the CDC to be closed.
CDC Survey. They ask for # of children in household, # of people in the hosehold, whether the children have been immunized for flu this year or previous years, type of health insurance the child receives, race of child and mother, highest education mother has received, whether you have a landline and/or # of mobile phones in hosehold, your zipcode and hosehold income.
Interviewer told me I could stop at anythime, but wanted to call back if I did request to end survey. The survey didn't impede too much on my time, only took 10 minutes. I didn't consider the questions that personal, but others might disagree.
