Left a message, along with callers above, there would be and auto deduction of $299 from my account. If I did not want these charges then I needed to call back to cancel my subscription.

Said that my antivirus was expiring and they are going to charge me $299 on my credit card today. I said NO and he screamed "WHAT NO?" The caller was foreign and difficult to understand.

Yikes, some thoughts: Try never speak to these Spoofed callers. If you don't recognize the info. on CID, & it's possible- allow call to go to Voice Mail-a legit caller will leave a VM or call back again. When a job situation demands that one takes all calls, ex. ,Receptionist, be diligent that you don't use the word "Yes" to any questions like your name or the business name. When I've taken one of these calls and I'm asked "Is this____" I reply, unfriendlily, "WHAT?", "WHY?" or "WHAT DO YOU WANT". Whenever feasible, try never to engage with these scamming thieves, their goal is to get a Yes, to anger you and keep you engaged to verify that your number is in fact a good one ( "live" ) then it will be sol, perhaps even used as a Spoofed number- those calls will never end as innocent victims call "you" back. FYI: A(nother) helpful website to ck. CID unknowns is 800Notes.com.

Same female bot, same message about "if you don't your card will be charge $299". Ignored and I usually don't pick up, if I do I never say anything. I was under the guidance of those who said these are considered Spoofed Callers, oversees using US phone numbers, CID shows fake names and some town & state w/some random number using a USA area code. When I'm in a bad mood, I will let the speakerphone take the call but use dead silence for response. If they ask for me by name I may say loudly "WHAT!" and nothing else which ends with a hang up on their end. Or I say nothing and let the live caller stumble thru different destruction of my surname pronunciation, wait till they hang up, let Mrs. Verizon say her thing until I get the "phone off the hook" loud beeping when I'm assured no one is on the other end confirming this is a good number. It's my robo blocker- I long ago filled the 400 slots provided by the office Panasonic landline. Regardless, scammers work around blocked numbers calling back under different auspices within hours. Typically, when I don't answer for months, they'll call back once I've blocked them. .
