Computer call asking you to press #9 to get a lower rate on your credit card. Foreign operator said they were representing Chase Bank of America and asked on which card (VISA or Mastercard) would I like a lower rate.
I asked to be put on the Do Not Call list and the operator hung up.
Recording saying to press 9 for a lower interest rate on credit card. I did so & told the person that answered to remove my number. The guy - who I thought was a woman, had a high voice with a non-English/US accent - told me (excuse me for being crude, but these were his exact words): "Come here and give me a B******b and I'll take you off the list." I have traced the call (*57) and filed a complaint with the national DNC registry: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
I received a call from this number. But...I have subscribed to "nomorobo"... It rang once and I did not have to answer. The Caller ID was V109161183600202. I decided to check this number out and found that it was indeed a marketing scam as most of you have indicated. Suggest that you subscribe to nomorobo. It is free and it intercepts all of these annoying calls
No matter how many times you press 9 and tell the rude person that answers the phone to remove your name they don't they just hang up on you. These calls are becoming annoying to say the least and in my opinion boardering on harrassment.
