301-453-2345 called (9/27/16 @ 4 PM) and stated I am eligible for $2,500.00 Social Security benefits. I immediately hung up because it is a scam. Also, 301-453-2348 called on 9/22/16 @ 3 PM and left no voicemail.
301-453-2345 and 301-453-2348 are very close numbers. It may be relatives, perhaps, a family wireless line numbers.
NO Social Security representatives would say such of thing or to get your personal information.

HANG UP (AND DO NOT REPLY TO EMAIL) AND ALWAYS GO TO YOUR LOCAL SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE (OR CALL 1-800-772-1213) TO SEE IF THEY NEED ANY INFORMATION FROM YOU. ALSO, TELL THE REPRESENTATIVE THAT YOU GOT A CALL (OR EMAIL) FROM SOMEONE & DESCRIBE FURTHER (WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN-TIME & DATE, HOW & WHY). THEY WILL TAKE ANY SCAMS VERY SERIOUSLY.
