Came to my Verizon mobile phone at about 8:15pm CST. I didn't answer, since I didn't recognize the number.

They are probably dialing numbers at random, trying to scam anyone who will fall for it.

Same as most of you - automated service from unknown caller on my cell. I pushed one and tried to make up a credit card number to see if I could get to someone and tell them I am a retired cop (I am) and I can trace the call (even though I can't). Never could though. It needs real CC #'s. Only thing you can do is report to IC3.gov. The feds will do something if they get enough complaints.

Caller name: "United Community Bank"

Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

An automated female voice stated "This is United Community Bank. We regret to inform you that your debit MasterCard has been locked. Please press 1 to reactivate". I pressed 1 to see what would happen, and it repeated the same thing. I then remembered reading about a scam that charged exorbitant long distance fees to cell phones, so I chickened out and hung up. Incidentally, this was at 11:14 pm!! My husband got a similar call earlier today. He just hung up, since he was driving. Catch these morons!! If something really did happen to someone's debit or credit card, it wouldn't be believed, all because of these crooks!!
