Called from Kent, WA and said it was Chase Bank and my card had been deactivated, press one to reactivate card. Then they asked for my card number and I hung up. Checked on chase online to see if any such thing had happened to my card. No alerts or holds came up. This is a scam and you should beware. Never give your card numbers to random callers.
This number called me telling me that I had lost a mastercard, and to reclaim it, call another number to get my information and card number back.
Massive Scam. Ridiculous.
I don't even own a mastercard. People like this should go to prison.
Several times answered the phone, just to be met with a recorded "goodbye"
Caller name: bank account scam
Asks for card number, expedition date and pin based on blocked bank card. No name given. Do not pick up and report it.
Caller name: not given
Received bogus call at 10:11 pm tonight, after receiving two bogus text messages earlier this afternoon at 3:10 and 3:19 pm, first from firstname.lastname@example.org then from email@example.com and both indicated my bank was trying to contact me, and to call 907-341-3347. All identification was faked. I know if the phone companies and Internet providers wanted to block these automated scammers, they could just based on the random and faked numbers and IP addresses, and put an end to this BS, but they still make money, even if its not legit.
Dec 14, 2013 Phone Scam
Got a call with a computer voice saying that "my" MasterCard debit card, from some bank that I didn't recognize (Bell State Bank and Trust), was frozen and to press 1 to talk to someone from their security department.
Five minutes later I got the same call from (877) 277-3125.
I don't have anything from MasterCard
Says my Mastercard debit card had been locked and to press 1. Then asked for 16 digit acct number. I laughed and hung up. Tried to call back and was told could not complete as dialed (no surprise as it was not a full number). No worry, as for starters, I do NOT possess a Mastercard debit card!
Rec'd 2 calls within minutes of each other on both mine & my husbands cell phones. Recorded message states that my MasterCard has been locked, press 1 to speak with security dept. to unlock Debit card. Hung up on call. How do these idiots get non published phone #s or #s on the Do Not Call List?!
Caller name: No name
Received an automated call from this number asterick 25363827 saying my Master card was locked and to push one for the security department. This is a scam!!! I sent a message to Asterick that their product was being used for fraud and they need to stop it and trace them down and find out who is going after people's credit card information.
Answered phone to a computerized voice stating "your debit card has been locked, press 1 to reactivate it......I pressed 1 and then they ask for your card number to reactivate.........I knew it was a scam from the beginning....but im sure that theirs people out their that have done it....who do you report this to.....And when your try and call it back it cant be completed as dialed
They called my husband at work on his cell phone he has though his work saying are visa MasterCard was locked. We have a visa debit card he went to the bank are card worked at the ATM so then he went into the bank and ask about they said it sounds like a scam. And if they were to call it would be a local number not some weird random number.
