This is one of 40 numbers I have saved under SCAM in my contacts on my phone. They call me numerous times daily under different numbers and different states but it's always the same recording.... Something about if you have over 10 grand in credit card debt push 1 to speak to a representative.... I have no credit card debt and I have tried talking to them to tell them to take me off there list... No matter what phone number/state that calls it's always the EXACT same lady and she hangs up on you once you start to complain!!! I'm on the do not call list as well and it would cost me a small fortune to block the 40 differer numbers with my cell phone company. Instead I save the numbers under SCAM in my contact list and set a certain ring tone so I know not to answer when they call me, idk what else too do.......

I just started a petition on the White House petitions site, We the People to get our government to do something about this. Every freakin' day they call from a new number. We have to get 150 signatures before it is published. Then we have to get 100,000 signatures! It's a lot, I know, but I'm sure they've pissed off way more than that! Please sign the petition here http://wh.gov/yRLU Then post it on facebook and twitter!

Obviously the "Do Not Call" registry doesn't work. I get calls for the same 'phishing for credit card info" scam constantly. There's a way that the same scammers switch numbers constantly so they're never caught. Nor do I think they are ever pursued by authorities.
Best just to not answer or do what I do...lay my phone next to my car horn and blow it when I answer. ;-)

Really if these people have nothing better to do than set up computers to call phone. Numbers to see if it is a good number or not so they can be put on a list for telemarketers then they need a real job

Just reported to http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
You can report to: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
BUT they DO NOT investigate or go after these companies!
Here is the message I got after filing a complaint about this number:
YOUR COMPLAINT HAS BEEN ACCEPTED
Thank you for filing your complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry.
Do not call complaints will be entered into a secure online database available to civil and criminal law enforcement agencies. While the FTC does not resolve individual consumer problems, your complaint will help the agency investigate the company, and could lead to law enforcement action.

These filthy scum sucking pieces of sh*t called 2 of my cell phones that are in completely different area codes within 5 minutes of each other.

The FCC has temporarily halted 7 minor unprofitable boiler rooms who will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days. In the meantime the calls will continue since they are making money with what is called a CNAM revenue-sharing program through companies like http://www.telephonemanagement.net and http://www.CallerID4U.com
In their own words: 'Every day your company makes thousands of outbound phone calls. Every one of those calls generates revenue for many companies, why not yours? Our CNAM revenue-sharing program helps you make money every time a Caller ID request is made by a phone carrier. A high-traffic call center can lose hundreds to thousands of dollars a day to phone carriers by allowing them to charge for access to your own data.'

You can now see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won't fall for their scam. They are making money even if you don't answer the phone. If someone does make the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their con then it is just icing on the cake for them.

What To Do When You Get an Illegal Robocall; http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/robocalls
1. Hang Up. Do not press 1 or any other numbers to get off the list and NEVER call them back
2. Consider blocking the number or on a cell phone add it to a contact list and assign NO ring tone
3. Report it at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
4. Report it at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov
5. People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office
Register your phone numbers online at http://www.donotcall.gov or call (888) 382-1222 (must call from # you want removed).

There is a blog site that has information on one of these operations: http://telemarketerspam.wordpress.com

I received a call at 9:38 eastern today, which not only interrupted everyone in the meeting I was in at my workplace, but also used some of my (not free) daytime minutes. Of all the sensless laws that exist, why can't this type unwanted intrusion be prosecuted?

Says it is from credit card services and will help lower rates that they have notices are late over past few months when I ask what cards always says any card you would like help with and when I ask the name on the cards he hangs up on me. When I call the number back a recording comes on that says I have reached a number that is n onger in service. I have asked to be taken of the call list numerous times but continue to get calls daily.

If I do not answer they do not leave a message. If I do it is them trying to get rid of my credit card debit which I do not have. I then say can you give me a number to call back in hopes of reaching a supervisor to get removed from the list. Then they hang up. I am on the do not call list and it does not stop them. They use several numbers but this is the same company. This is the last number they used for me.....I have filed several complaints with the do not call registry and it has not stopped them

I got a call from (845) 459-3271
NY, USA saying they can lower my credit card. They hung up on me, then a few minutes later this number called me had me saying hello multiple times and hung up on me. This c**p is very annoying and I defiantly think these numbers somehow go with each other with the spoof stuff that they have for these people that doesn't give their real caller id.

I have been getting these calls. I have Verizon & go to my account and block the number! it will block for 30 or 60 days, then I just add the new #'s as they call me and the list is kept current. (you can only have 5 #'s at a time) so I rotate the most current 5! :-)

They are just a scam. if you start to question them or make any attempt at getting them to leave you alone they hang up on you. I have even had them call me repeatedly after hanging up on me earlier.

I receive calls from this number and two others approx. twice a week. The phone rings and it is a recorded message regarding a credit card about to expire... I do not have credit cards so I know it's a scam. The recording says press #1 to find out more. When I press #1 and ask which company it is, they hang up. If you call back, the number is not in service. The call I just received was from the same company, different #. I pressed #1 and I told the person not to hang up and to put me on their no call list. I was told, " Fuc* you b***h... you didn't ask nicely so I won't put you on the list. Then I was told I could, "suc* my di**.. I was a f****n* w***e... go ahead and try to find out where I am.... on and on... I am so pissed. I will do anything to find out who they are and who he was.
There are 3 numbers they call from
770-733-7690, 313-347-8168 and 251-725-1770.... Help me find them....
