I am on the "do not call" list and still get calls from this company EVERY day! They call from different states as well. I've asked nicely to be taken off their list and I get cussed at and then hung up on.

I just started a petition on the White House petitions site, We the People to get our government to do something about this. Every freakin' day they call from a new number. We have to get 150 signatures before it is published. Then we have to get 100,000 signatures! It's a lot, I know, but I'm sure they've pissed off way more than that! Please sign the petition here http://wh.gov/yRLU Then post it on facebook and twitter!

Obviously the "Do Not Call" registry doesn't work. I get calls for the same 'phishing for credit card info" scam constantly. There's a way that the same scammers switch numbers constantly so they're never caught. Nor do I think they are ever pursued by authorities.
Best just to not answer or do what I do...lay my phone next to my car horn and blow it when I answer. ;-)

Really if these people have nothing better to do than set up computers to call phone. Numbers to see if it is a good number or not so they can be put on a list for telemarketers then they need a real job

Automated menu came up saying to press "1" if you owed more than $3000 in credit card debt. Pretty sure this is a scam.

Just reported to http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
You can report to: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
BUT they DO NOT investigate or go after these companies!
Here is the message I got after filing a complaint about this number:
YOUR COMPLAINT HAS BEEN ACCEPTED
Thank you for filing your complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry.
Do not call complaints will be entered into a secure online database available to civil and criminal law enforcement agencies. While the FTC does not resolve individual consumer problems, your complaint will help the agency investigate the company, and could lead to law enforcement action.

These filthy scum sucking pieces of sh*t called 2 of my cell phones that are in completely different area codes within 5 minutes of each other.

The FCC has temporarily halted 7 minor unprofitable boiler rooms who will receive a slap on the wrist and be back at it within a few days. In the meantime the calls will continue since they are making money with what is called a CNAM revenue-sharing program through companies like http://www.telephonemanagement.net and http://www.CallerID4U.com
In their own words: 'Every day your company makes thousands of outbound phone calls. Every one of those calls generates revenue for many companies, why not yours? Our CNAM revenue-sharing program helps you make money every time a Caller ID request is made by a phone carrier. A high-traffic call center can lose hundreds to thousands of dollars a day to phone carriers by allowing them to charge for access to your own data.'

You can now see why the criminals keep calling even though they know you won't fall for their scam. They are making money even if you don't answer the phone. If someone does make the mistake of answering the phone and falling for their con then it is just icing on the cake for them.

What To Do When You Get an Illegal Robocall; http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/robocalls
1. Hang Up. Do not press 1 or any other numbers to get off the list and NEVER call them back
2. Consider blocking the number or on a cell phone add it to a contact list and assign NO ring tone
3. Report it at http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
4. Report it at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov
5. People should continually file complaints with their Attorney Generals office
Register your phone numbers online at http://www.donotcall.gov or call (888) 382-1222 (must call from # you want removed).

There is a blog site that has information on one of these operations: http://telemarketerspam.wordpress.com

I received a call at 9:38 eastern today, which not only interrupted everyone in the meeting I was in at my workplace, but also used some of my (not free) daytime minutes. Of all the sensless laws that exist, why can't this type unwanted intrusion be prosecuted?

Caller name: doesn't leave one

Says it is from credit card services and will help lower rates that they have notices are late over past few months when I ask what cards always says any card you would like help with and when I ask the name on the cards he hangs up on me. When I call the number back a recording comes on that says I have reached a number that is n onger in service. I have asked to be taken of the call list numerous times but continue to get calls daily.

Same problems -- calls almost daily, hangs up on me when I ask (nicely) to be removed from their call list. I've filed countless complaints yet nothing has been done to make them stop. And they use multiple numbers, not just this one!
