Ricky from InfoTech (supposedly contracted with Microsoft) called me today and told me that my computer has not allowed Microsoft updates for the past few days. He wanted me to give him control of my computer for a few minutes and he would manually do the updates. I told him I was uncomfortable with this and requested a number I could reach him after I did some research. He became a bit irritated, but did give me a number 888-866-0703 his direct line. He repeated again and again for me to call him specifically (Ricky) he said it was very important to him. He told me he had my account open and would be waiting for my call. After reading the above stories there was no need for me to call Microsoft. I did not return his call.

This outfit calls me on occasions telling me my computer is at risk, and I must let them check and make repairs or my computer will crash. They pulled the same stunt last year. This outfit "infotech" needs to be shut down and investigated.

A man called saying he was from InfoTech, a company that works for Microsoft and that I have a virus on my computer. I said I was all set and do not give personal information to anyone who calls me. If I am having trouble I will contact Microsoft. He told me my computer is at serious risk and that it needs to be fixed. I asked to be taken off the call list and hung up. He has called me 7 times in the last 3 days. I called Microsoft they said they do not work with InfoTech and they would never have anyone call a customer. They wait for customers to call into Microsoft for help. He advised me to never ever give personal information to anyone calling me. I hope no one else gets scammed.

Indian accent. Caller informed be he needed to work on my computer since his company worked on it probably 2 years ago. He said he could not get into my computer and asked if something had changed. This was definitely a scam because he wanted me to allow him access to my computer and this isn't the procedure for this process.

Did the same thing to our company. Called and said we were at risk as someone had come through the firewall and "disabled" many programs and applications and he could fix it all for a price. In truth, he was the hacker. Do not do business with this creep.
