I live in Canada, and this morning I received a call from this number. A man in broken English stated that my computer was full of viruses, etc. which he could fix. I replied, "Why don't you quit deceiving people and get a real job?" He then said, "Can you give me a job?" I asked where he lived, and he replied, "India." I told him I was retired and had no job for him. He then asked, "Can you help me in any other way? All I need is food."
I didn't know whether or not he was being honest. Later I checked the area codes in India and 223 is not among the codes for the major cities.
3 May 2013, 11:01AM EDT: male with Hispanic accent. Told me I had a computer virus. Insisted his company's name was "PC Support". I asked how he knew whether I had a computer? Insisted that he represented the manufacturer (but couldn't tell me what kind of computer I had or any other details).
I asked him to please remain on the line while I traced his call, and repeated my questions. He hung up.
Caller name: Abe
Said he was going to fix my PC. I knew it was a scam from "hello". I had lots of time so I screwed with him for 7 minutes. I figure that is 7 minutes he couldn't scam someone else. I even got in a few "your moma" jokes.
said he wanted to protect my computer from viruses his program had detected. I told him I didn't have a computer. That info didn't seem to affect him any. He still kept talking. I repeated myself. Then he hung up without saying another word.
This was a caller who said he was calling from windows and wanted to help me fix the viruses my computer has supposedly been downloading in the last few days. I told him my computer was not turned on over the last few days. As the conversation went on the caller became more rude. He repeatedly called with rude and demanding to know why I wouldnt do as he asked with my computer. He also left a scary message on my voicemail when i didnt answer the phone any more.

Yet another call telling me that a so-called Microsoft rep wants to fix something wrong with Windows on my computer... and at 5:48 AM on a Saturday morning! Unfortunately some people are stupid enough that they still fall for this old gag...
This number called my AT&T prepaid phone as an automated voice claiming that I have not paid my Verizon bill. Wackos...
I think we've had the same guy - very persistent and called several times very early in the morning...
we keep getting calls from this number, but most of the time there is no one on the on the other end. One time a person was on the line and said I was having problems with windows. I knew this was a scam so I told him I put new windows in my house a few years ago and they were good, I also told him I replaced the front door in my home also. He kept talking and wanted me to give him access to my computer, but I told him I didn't have one and he hung up.

Called at 5:00 AM this morning. Hung up when I answered. Called about a week ago telling me they represented Windows and that I had a problem with my computer which they could fix. Accent so heavy it was hard to understand the guy. This number needs to be taken down.
