(217) 210‑0347 Robo call recorded 3 July 2015 ("Reduce your rate...consider this your final notice...before the next billing cycle...financial stimulus..." Credit Card SCAM)
Caller ID: "V07031733580001" (based on date and time so no two people see the same Caller ID)

Also called recently from: (404) 381‑1115 <> (208) 293‑8933 <> (305) 368-8492 <> (570) 983-3206 <> (570) 983-3796 <> (406) 477-3151 <> (518) 278-0335 <> (518) 278-0333

Ha, ha, ha, lower my rate to as little as 1% and "...consider this your second and final notice..." before the end of the next billing cycle as it applies to the financial stimulus.

Yeah, I wish.

The recording of this "lower your rate" call is exactly the same past calls but from a new number to avoid past call blocking. The recorded message is their usual patter (see below) followed by a 7 second pause. I really look forward to when they say "good bye" and disconnect when I failed to press any buttons.

Their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethics, doesn't it?

Here is a transcript of their latest offering:

[female voice] "This is a very important message about your current credit card accounts. This is your second and final notice to lower your credit card interest rate and payments. Press 1 now to find out the terms conditions and associated changes before the next billing cycle. Again, this is your final notice as it relates to the financial stimulus. So press 1 now to take advantage of this today."

[7 second pause] [female voice] "Good bye".

Thanks to Google Voice ( www.google.com/voice ) you can hear this recording on my Spam Calls web page:

Claimed to be from Card Member Services about lowering the interest rate on my credit card. When I pressed for information regarding the company he was working for he hung up.

Folks, don't press 1 or 2 or even answer the call if at all possible. Once you respond in any manner that indicates that the phone call was answered, your number will be recorded as a "real" phone and the calls will just keep coming.

I've been receiving this type of call for years. We ended up getting a Google voice number and only giving that out -- never our home phone or cell phone. If a call comes in that wasn't forwarded to our home line or cell through Google voice, we don't pick up. The calls eventually stop.

I have received calls from this number many times, like the others who have commented here. I have pressed the number to be removed from the call list and the calls continue. Today, I decided to press "1" to speak to someone. I cannot believe that the woman who got on the phone is working in a customer service field!! After telling me that she would not put me on a do not call list because I "pressed "1" to speak with someone about lowering my interest rate" she hung up on me! I called the number back only to receive a recorded message asking me to press "1" to be removed from the call list. At no point in any conversation or message did anyone identify a company or organization name.

We have received calls from this number (217-210-0347) every day for the past week. A recording starts out identifying the call as being from Card Member Services about lowering the interest rate on my credit card. They try to sound like they are calling from our credit card company, though we know that they are not. We've received similar calls from several different numbers. Once we were given the opportunity, at the very end of the call, to "press 9" if we didn't want further calls. We did that. Three months later we still receive this same recorded message from several different numbers. Thank you, Sharon, for giving us info on how to stop these annoying intrusions on our lives!

I am getting f*****g tired of these people and others that have nothing better to do than to call me about credit cards, vacations, etc. I am on the do not call list of course it doesn't make any difference because the f*****s still call. I am going to find an attorney and sue what phone companies are issuing out these numbers to find these b******s because I am at the f*****g point I am going to find out who these f*****s are and cut both their f*****g hands off so they won't be able to dial anyone much less use a f*****g computer! Don't get my wrong, I am sick and tired of getting phones calls 5-10 times a day from these f*****s! It is so bad, I am at the point I screen my phone calls and don't answer because they will even use local numbers to spam me!

Can we sue these people for harrassment?

Just called me today, after quite a few calls and after disconnecting my landline because of another company a little over a year ago, now its starting with this other company on my cell phone.

I dont get to sleep regular hours at the times most people sleep I crawl into bed a few hours before this company starts ringing at 10 am.

This is really harrassment, if folks arent interested leave them alone, if not we should be able to sue them for alot of money to discourage this behavior.

I'm back to say calling 866-246-7196 did help me to stop these calls. I now question the comments filled with speculation and negativity against this advise. Sadly, their character and error in judgement will only ensure they'll continue to get the calls. For that person and others that follow them, their choice.....

Here to pass on some good news I came across on another blog on how to stop these annoying calls. It's quite simple and easy to do; call 866-246-7196 and give the caller's and receiving phone numbers. They'll verify if this caller is on their list and add the receiving phone number to the do not call request list. Then allow 48 business hours to process and the calls will stop!
