I have received similar calls from this same number and was told that the similar story about being sued for double the amount of the money which total of 1300,00 was willing to negoiate for 665.00. I was suppose to call and start making payments of 50.00 per payday and I could put it on a prepaid debit card. Same story voicemail is always full and when I asked for some paperwork said they couldn't provide with anybody which makes me even more suspicious of them. I had a similar incident with with another company but they however did send me paperwork through my email confirming the agreement we made. Called today because I want something in writing if thats case still cannot get a hold of them..

This is probably a collection agency but consider them scammers. They may this fraudulant calls telling lies about litigation and courts and restraining orders just to get you to call. That is against the law.

If you want them to stop calling you, answer the phone and/or call them back. *Be pleasanat* Do not give them any information but tell them you are recording the call and this is their official notice to stop calling this number or any number they have associated with you. Tell them you don't care what the situation is that is so important. If they want to contact you again, they must do so by postal mail. If they do call again, they will be reported to the State Agency for unlawful conduct.

In a simliar situation I was in, they sent a collection letter to me. I replied with a request for validation of debt. They never contacted me again.

They called on two of our business lines and state that I have 4 hours to call them back before ligation is filed and that there is a restraining order against me.

I contacted them to see what the scam was, and the guy answered "Litigation Dept., I ask the name of the firm and he said "IRS Litigation", I repeat it back and he said yes. I ask for the phone number, put him on hold and call it. The operator said it is "LRS Equity Recovery", a collection firm. When I returned to the other line, he had hung up.

If you get a call from them, just call an state you are a business and someone keeps calling this number, and they will remove it.

Remember, no one is going to call you about a legal action, unless you know them, and it will be in written form otherwise. Anything else is a scam.

Automated call stating if I didn't call them back 24 hrs then a restraining order would be place against me. Hit 9 to talk with litigator who asked I verify the last 4 of my ssn but then said the #'s and asked if that was right. Could not tell me when the original "debt" was incurred and would not provide information either over the phone, email or regular mail. Said I could file a police report for identity theft but when I asked for additional info, including just their call back #, they refused to tell me anything, said I would need to go to court first and then I could file the report. Just kept trying to get me to pay them money although they kept saying they are just the lawyers calling on behalf of the collection agency.....scam?

How come I haven't been contacted by mail or court? If this is a scam they should be punished and held accountable for harrassment. They also called by previous employer on 10/3 through a block telephone number and left the same message on the answering serivce which is personal information about me for any one in the office to listen to. This is a direct violation of my privacy rights and they are violating the Fair Debt Collection Act in this country.

I have gotten a similar phone call tonight. Same area code different number (same group) from (216)217-5984. Makes me angry. These people are scum. They need to be tracked down and be sent to litigation themselves. They probably keep calling until they find someone gullible enough to give them the info they are looking for. And it does happen. Usually an elderly person.

And where are other people that are being contacted from what states? I live in MA.

Now, I know enough to know that a restraining order against me would have to be filed in my state and that it involves the court system and the sheriff's dept. And, they don't call you in advance.

Not sure but I have recevied this call twice and was told by the first person that he would call me back that day on a Friday within the hour no return call and no one would answer me. So get the same call on Tueday but this time I asked that they send me the information and was told that they didn't have the information and then I asked them to send it certified mail so that I could sign for it for my records and theirs. They could not. I was told that I would be arrested and fraud charges pressed and a unifrom officer would come to my job. All of the information that they provided could easily be gathered from the internet. So after speaking to another person he stated that I could not be arrested but I needed to settle this matter. I told him I needed proof. I asked for the address and was provided with a PO box but not a physical address. I want them to stop harrassing people and telling them that they will be jailed but will not provide any proof. Also I asked why they used cell phones but got no response. STOP
