Missed a call from this number (216-206-6895) on my cell phone at 2:04 p.m. 29th of March. Typically I do not pick up unknown numbers. If it is someone I know of if is important they can leave a message. Did not leave a message. Goggled number and arrived here.
Caller called back to back letting my cell phone ring once.
In my state, it's illegal to place soliciting phone calls to a cell phone. No business has been given my cell phone number as I only use my cell phone for emergency purposes only. Reporting illegal phone call to FTC.
Caller name: Ames, Iowa
Called twice - back to back. Rang once each time. Did not answer, but identified caller on screen as my husband. It was not. He has different number, and was in room next door. Oddly, he was the last person I had used my phone to contact before the call.
Same as everyone else on here. One ring ten hung up. f**k these mother f*****s. I hate scammers. Mother f*****g c**k smokers. I'm going to call from another phone and if someone answers I'm going to cuss them the mother f**k out.
Called cell phone once & hung up. This is done by telemarketers to get you to call them back avoiding FTC DNC rules or hope you will call back & they hit your cell provider for fee's from you as originated call is International but "masked' with a U.S. #
Either way DO NOT RETURN CALL either block call or have your cell provider block calls from this number.
Given DNC registry, like most Government "fixes" does not work as intended, it is probably best to have your cell provider block calls from this # & other's like it.
Granted a bit of a hassle unless your phone allows you to block calls, but usually can be done online rather quickly. In the cases of International slammers the cell companies prefer to be notified. Although, on another site people reported they called back & were told they "won a prize from Nationally recognized company" eventually asking for Credit/debit card for "Shipping".
Sad that enough people "fall" for these tricks that they continue on & on. If people would wise up to scammers it would no longer be profitable for these crooks to pursue. But after 25+ years of Nigerian scams, "Only living descendent" & International Lottery wins in emails, they still keep coming However, emails are cheap, long distant auto dialers with people awaiting return calls & spending hours trying to con people can be stopped if everyone reports the #'s to cell providers & on sites like this. It is a hassle but we must take action & quit avoiding personal responsibility towards others who may be caught in such scams, especially elderly, who may not know better.
My phone rang 2-3 times and then they just hung up.
Came up as out of area. I googled the number and here I am
like the rest of you. No one I know has my landline number so
I never answer but to call at 11:30pm??? Nuts!!!!!! I get a lot of
weird callers on this new number!!! I hate it!!!
This same number called my phone as well. As CM said, it rang once and hung up. I didn't answer either or call back. If I do not recognize the number I ignore it completely. IS there a way to get this caller fined so they stop, blocked, something?
