guy called and stated my computer was calling his office, Microsoft Operating Systems Support Services and he was going to help me out with fixing my computer. I asked him which one, he said the one that you use. I asked him which operating system, he said Windows...(I was referring to which version)...he said Windows 2010 (of which, I don't have)...knew it was a scam, but wanted to take it to the end and figure out what he wanted....he then asked if it was OK to take over "your" computer remotely and fix the problem. At that point I put him on hold for about two minutes then asked him if h is Mother was proud of him....I feel that older less educated Americans can fall for this....please, every instance you get pass this fraud sceme along that NOBODY should be asking permission on a cold call to remote IN to your PC. Just hang up.

I was contacted today by a man with a strong Indian accent, and he stated there was something corrupting my internet, and he had been contacted by my server. He asked me to follow his instructions, and allow him to 'remotely' "FIX" my computer! I replied "NO THANK YOU," and immediately hung up. I'm so glad I did because when I googled his cell phone number, I was connected to this and many other sites explaining the SCAM he was running.

My call started out asking about our computer, I said in my best Indian accent "no computer" after a bit I hung up. He called back 4 times. The last time my spouse took over and really messed with him, Evan kept asking for oral s*x and various other sexual acts. My spouse continued to mess with him (it was very humorous) and the guy finally hung up.

it is always an indian man who says he is calling about my computer. I ask who it is and he doesn't answer me. He has called at 7:30 in the morning, in the afternoon and very late at night. I have told him several times I am reporting him and I hang up. This last time he said, "Oh I'm scared, I'm scared, I'm scared" and he kept saying it over and over again. I hung up on him and told him he is being reported.

I receive calls from this number daily and the one time I answered, had the same exchage as others - heavy accent, ridiculous claim about my computer sending errors etc . It is so obviously a scam I can't imagine anyone falling for it but since I work from home, the calls are extremely annoying and invasive.

He called me 5 times after I hung up. An indian man called me and said that files from he internet were being stopped and that i why my computer was slow. I said, how in the world would you know my computer is slow. Right then and there I laughed to myself and entertained him for about 5 mins. Told me to go on to my computer and asked if i saw a certain something (i never went onto my computer, i was pretending) and said NO. The he said look at your keys and hit this button, I said OK i hit. and he said, do you see this? I said, NO. Then he asked me to do something else and asked me if i saw something else. I said, NO. He got really agressive and I got such a kick out of it that i started to turn the conversation around. I asked where he was calling from. (I had to ask 4 times) and he would say, "yes mam, anyway...." i told him he was not answering my question. Then i said, "If you know my computer is not working through the internet, then you should be able to fix it without calling me you idoit." Then he started to get more aggravated...and then i kept asking him stupid quesitons and firing the questions at him one after the other...and then i just HUNG UP!!! He called me 5 more times after that and i never picked up. What an idoit that he really thought I would fall for that. Americans are already wise to all their scams. Maybe they should get wise and start calling other countries!!!

The 4th time they called she saw the number on our caller ID and answered the phone, it was a man with an Indian accent requesting to speak with the owner of a computer, my wife said we didn't own a computer and he hung up.

These people call often -- a great nuisance because I a) work at home and b) cannot ignore my phone because a close friend is very ill and often needs me. You hang on to silence, then eventually a voice comes on like the call is being made from the Black Hole of Calcutta, which it probably is. If you ask who's calling and where from, they hang up. If you ask them not to call again, they ignore you. I've tried to dial back the number to tell them to take me of their list -- I think it's the Windows registry scam -- but when you dial that number, a recording says you've reached a number that isn;t in service. So these b******s (that is really the kindest word for them) are hiding behind ghost US numbers. I hate them. I think we should cut off all foreign aid to India until their govt cracks down on this -- and I love India and Indian people, but these are greedy, dishonest pigs who prey on the naive and the elderly who don't know much about computers, and they should be behind bars.

Just like the above reports, an Indian-accented voice told me he was calling to fix my computer. As I do not have a personal computer, I immediately realized that it was a scam, so I started playing with them. I thanked him profusely for calling me to fix my computer and asked him if he needed my IPO address. Naturally, he immediately said yes, so I told me to write it down carefully because it was complicated. After having him wait 15 seconds, I let him know that my computer's IPO address was www.eatshitasshole. He asked me if that was .com or .org. By then my wife and I were laughing so hard we had to hang up. Try that on anyone who call you with a scam. It turns the tables on them and makes them waste time. :)

I was annoyed and picked up the phone and said 'Hello' several times before a man with an Indian accent telling me I have a serious problem with my Windows...I could here the background sounds like other people talking on phones also with heavy accents. I asked repeatedly who was he and he continued to say the same thing with no explanation. I challenged him and asked what was he trying to sell me or get from me. This happened to us about 6 months ago, when some one with a similar story had called at 12:15AM and I told that person " do you know what time it is, and I repeated it over and over and they hung up on me." Tired of people thinking we will believe anything anyone says!!

He said that he was calling from the "Windows Operating Systems."
