Caller name: Samual Watson - Supervisor

This is a scam / telemarketer. They are trying to sell you a comp[uter virus product by disguising it under the fact that your computer is infected with a virus and it is infecting other computers as well. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, Samual Watson was put on the line. He said the name of the company is UTH (a global company). I asked to be put on the NO CALL LIST. They immediately hung up.

A call came from this number on 01/03/2014. The Caller ID says: FOOD BANK NYC. There was no one on the other end. It took more than a minute for the call to disconnect. When I called it back, it says, "Thank you for calling Moviefone."

Caller name: Didn't wait to find out

Tried telling me my windows was sending error messages to their company and they could fix it for a fee. I run linux.

They got a neighbor of mine a few months back, real gullible old guy, scammed him for over $300.

Anyways, long story short, they are caller ID spoofing, simple process but illegal in the US when used in any business means, use *57 to trace the number to the original source right after they call, then contact your phone company and they will either give the traced number to you, or require you to contact the police and give the traced number to the police on your behalf.

Stop whining about this being AOL's fault, this has absolutely nothing to do with AOL.

These people are frauds. The number that appears on the caller id is Judy Lee. What they do is ask for your personal information so they can hack into your accounts and seal money and do identity theft. The people say they are from Windows Internet and state their is a virus on your computer. In order to wipe the virus they need to access your computer through your router. BE WARNED!

Caller name: Indian accent guy

My dad, 80 years old, called me, said he is on the phone with a tech guy who called him saying his computer had multiple viruses and he was cleaning them out. WHAT?? This guy talk my dad into giving him access to control his PC, and had been on his symptom for an hour. The guy asked my dad for his Credit Card and wanted to charge him $200. My dad decided to call me while this guy had access to his PC. Please note I have a Virus protection as well as update my dads laptop for him on a regular basis. I know for a fact he has no slowing or virus as I bought him his Dell i7 and installed the software myself. I told my dad to hold his finger down on his power button and do a hard shut down, which he did, as I explained he was getting scammed. The indian guy called my dad back at home as he had gave him that number, and who knows what else. I told my dad to get the guys number and advise that I would call him. He gave my dad 760-284-3119. Told my dad to leave his computer off until I could reinstall all of his software. ugh.

I called the 760 number and an indian guy answered the phone. Stated they are a Global Business who help people who have a virus or slow running computer. Said the name of their business was PC Solutions. Could not give me website, but said to look up PC Solutions online. Stated they received a notice that my dad computer had problems, and they called him to see if he wanted help, which is why they accessed his computer and resolved his issues. They wanted his card to charge $199.99. HUGE SCAM. Told them never to contact by dad again. I'm sure he didn't know what dad I was talking about...and disconnected. Be Careful. Old folks are so easy to scam.

In response to: User

I keep getting calls from this number. They had never left a message till recently. The message left was exactly this, "She touched my pee-pee tee-hee." In a very thick Indian accent. Yup, I have it saved from that number on my phone. So if you should get a call from it, ignore it and put it on block. They're ignorant.

I am on the national cell and land line "do not call registery". But alot of good it does. I didn't see they have pitched insurance in the comments below...so I guess this is a new scam. A woman with a thick heavy (middle eastern) accent) called my cell today from 212-777-3456 asking for my husband. From what I could understand she was trying to get info regarding my husbands insurance. She started asking personal questions and I told her she was violating the Hepa law. I told her this was personal and private information was between him and his doctor and that his doctor had everything he needed to regarding his insurance and how to treat him. Yet she continued to mutter on so I finally just hung-up.
