Constant, twice a day for six days now, calling wanting to speak to me about my Windows computer. Doesn't matter what you say to them or how nicely you plead with them, they will not remove you from their list.

Most likely a scam. The caller with a thick accent identifies himself as working for Windows, says they are receiving errors from my PC and need access to it to fix it. Sadly, people still fall for this stuff. :( Last time he called me, I kept asking him questions about how he knew which computer was mine, etc. Finally I told him I knew he was lying because I didn't have a home PC. He yelled at me and said 'why are you wasting my time?!'. LOL. I said, 'Buddy, you called ME!!!'

Same BS that the other people are reporting. Do you know that this guy has actually switched phone numbers and area codes? Seriously. I even tracked one phone number down to an address that was for an empty lot (Google Maps) in S. Florida.

Caller name: Thomas

Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

A man phoned me this morning who said his name was Thomas and spoke with an Indian accent. He claimed that my computer was infected. He said he worked with Windows PC technical support and that if I didn't do as he said, my computer would crash. This is a scam wherein they ask for money to "fix" your computer remotely. I immediately called Microsoft and they told me that this was, indeed, a scam.
My caller ID displayed the following information regarding this call:
San Antonio, TX 1-210-807-4079
The callback number that Thomas provided is 727-498-0505
I didn't allow this idiot access to my computer - told him to phone my husband who works for Microsoft and provided the number. What a shocker - he never phoned my husband.

Calls about my home computer. Obviously a scam. Also uses 210-807-3262. Beware of him. After you tell him no, he gets very profane. He's called me 5 times this month.

3rd call I answered and I was told he was calling because my windows operating system was running and causing errors at the main office.

Curious as to how he knew my name. as my cell phone is a company phone. He has to be connected to Verizon and doing a scam on the side.

Caller name: guy with indian accent

Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

When I asked him a second time what company he was with he got a bit irritated.
He addressed me by my daughter's name who doesn't live in this state, but my internet provider is in her name so I'm wondering how many of you who got this call use Comcast? Could it be that someone got a hold of Comcast's customer list?

Caller name: Jack Anderson (so the Indian guy says)

Caller type: Scammer/Fraudster

Jack Anderson with Windows PC services called me two days ago. Same guy that called me almost a year ago. I definitely recognized the voice and attitude.
I told him that the boss would call him back and asked for his phone number, he provided 210-806-4078. His caller ID was 210-807-4079.

This is a Microsoft problem. If I was misrepresenting Microsoft they would prosecute me and put me in jail. Look at the page after page of complaints against these people. Gives Microsoft a bad name, makes me believe there is something going on we aren't being told about. Really, why isn't Bill Gates doing something about this? Get an illegal copy of Microsoft, they'll track you down! But let these people continue to harrass and scam us, it's intolerable. I'm switching to Mac. I don't trust Microsoft. They'll probably sue me for expressing my opinion.

Don't answer this number cuz it's to keep you on the line so your phone company or cell could charge you for the bill and they get part of it

Calls about Window O/S sending over 1000 fatal error messages to some Windows Database. I refused to let them access my PC for one reason only, Microsoft O/S are installed on millions and millions of computers and the cost to contact a windows user because of a possible FATAL CRASH is not justifiable to fix a problem that the user is unaware of? that is what windows update was for...I thought?

Female with a very thick indian accent asked for Mr [my last name here] and that she was from Windows calling about my computer.

I laughed & asked "....oh really?" to which she became befuddled & said "no!" and hung up.

This is definitely a scam & you should NOT give them any information.

Bu the way I have had other callers from this bogus group all with the same scenario described above but the caller id number is always different....they are using an illegal router on the telephone line....once it was even from a local area code to appear more legitimate.

Just received a call from 210-806-4079. Very thick accent; lots if background noise; gentleman said he was with Windows and my computer was sending error messages. I needed to look at it so he could fix it.

I told him the computer wasn't even turned on -- but he said it is connected to the internet. Anyway, I told him when I got on my computer, if indeed I had error messages I'd be calling Windows directly and I hung up.

Sounded fishy.
