Calls my cell almost every other day. It's a recording trying to sell cruise ship deals. I only heard the first few seconds of the recording and hung up. Since I remember this number, that I hang up on it when I see it on my call display. Wonder how it got my number from???
Caller name: San Antonio, tx
Called claiming to be a rep of the U.S. Govt. wanted to award me $9,000 from a survey I had done in December. When I declined to give him my bank account information, credit card number or social he hung up on me. Oh well, better luck next time.
Claimed to be a process server and claimed that I needed to pay money to them. Called from this number and then called back and left a different number on voice mail. Process servers rarely, if ever, call you and never demand money.

After I said, "Hello." A man with a thick Indian accent said he was calling about problems my computer was having? I then replied, "I don't have a computer." He immediately hung up! There's no way for a telemarketer, scammer to have any knowledge of what devices we have in our homes!
They call my home phone at least 3 time a day, So I finally anwer and they say they are from a Government funding, I tell them I'm not interested and they start calling about every 10 Min. an laughing in the phone, how can I press charges?
Yeah, my computer was supposedly broken. I did a little research.
A whitepages search said these 210 280-8488 calls are actually coming from a house in Saint Augustine, Florida. They showed a Google Earth picture of it, it's near the ocean in a suburb.
I did not want to pay 20 bucks for more Whitepages information, but Whitepages can tell you exactly who these folks and their relatives are, and other things for a fee.
So anybody with the money and time to invest, I suggest you get the information, start calling these scammers back or maybe email jamming them. If anything works, then tell us all about it on one of these blogs.
Another idea is to play along and try to waste their time. Just say the doorbell rang and to wait a second, or tell them your computer is still powering up, anything to string them along. At least they cannot scam others while you are wasting their time.
IF ANYTHING WORKS, REPORT BACK.

Received 3 calls so far today with just the last number one number off.
Really getting tired of these calls. I don't answer, but looks like someone could do something about these calls. Have "unknown" blocked, but not if they have a company or where from.

11:49am 14 May 2016 RoboCall from spoofed 210-280-8488 San Antonio TX. "World PC tech" and insisting we had "things inside our computer" that shouldn't be there, but he would show us how to get rid of them...for free! He wouldn't tell me the website of his company. or any other contact info. Its a SCAM anyway so rules and addresses don't apply. Nothing they say is reality and they aren't afraid of being charged with anything because they aren't in the USA anyway.
BEWARE ~ It's an international scam.
Carrier: The listed carrier may be from the spoofed number in TX.
