User Complaints for (206) 777-1932

Caller type: Debt Collector

It was a Robodialer then when I got a human it was some Black chick on the phone who could not even pronounce the name of the person she was calling. Said it was a personal business matter. Refused to give me her name, the name of the company, or what type of debt or bill that was owed. When I asked more questions she called me a stupid b***h and hung up on me. But, I'm not the one who could not even pronounce the name she was calling for! But I'm a Stupid b***h for asking questions. I feel that makes me smart for wanting to know the companies name, state and city location and what they handle. The number was calling from Seattle, Washington.

Someone named "Ebony Sanders" asked for me by my first and last name and said it's a recorded line, trying (but failing miserably) to sound official (really bad English--sounded very much American--but like she never finished grade school). Sounds like identity theft/scam/fraud of some type again.

Caller name: "This call is from convergence outsourcing a debt collector"

Caller type: Debt Collector

Calls at least once a day. Caller does not ask for anyone specifically, just says he/she is a debt collector. If they won't bother to say who they are trying to reach, we won't bother to answer or return the call. The call is a recording, which has no credence with us, so the message is deleted. f**k 'em.

Person calling is seeking information and called by name. Didn't say what business matter it was nor offered additional information.

206-777-1932 calls every week day at 9am, but I never answer. Looked into it. They buy old debt and have been fined millions for illegal tactics.

Me? 800+ credit score, no debt and have no idea who sold them my (burner cel) Trac number.

FYI:
September 2015, The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) ordered Portfolio Recovery to pay $19 million in consumer refunds and an $8 million penalty, and stop collecting on over $3 million worth of debts. Portfolio is also barred from reselling debts to third parties in the future.

If anyone is having "for real" trouble w/ Portfolio Recovery, here's good info: https://bettercreditblog.org/portfolio-recovery/
and here:

to file a formal complaint....

They called trying to collect on a debt that was cleared in 2004 13 years ago).
That debt was paid by me and as soon as I told her that she hung up.
