Caller name: my44verzion.com
My cell phone and my wife's cell phone rang at the exact same time with this number on the caller ID. Recording said that we'd been awarded a $44 credit from Verizon. The domain my44verizon.com was just created yesterday by someone in Spain:
Domain name: my44verizon.com
Santo Domingo, La Charles
I received a call form this number today. The person left a message saying he was from the IRS. I got the same phone call yesterday from a different number. It was the same guy. It's a scam and it's really annoying. How do we stop this guy.
Caller name: 2077082849
sounded like a prerecorded call asking if we want a wireless security device; then asked if we have a security system. When I tried to ask for a live person, the recording reverted to prior questions, e.g. "do you have a security system"....
obviously a scam trying to identify people who might not have a security system
Received call from this #, it was an automated voice talking about reducing interest rate on my credit card. It said press 1 to get more info or 2 to end call. I pressed 1 to have them remove me from their calling list. The man on the other end said, "no!" So I told him to let me talk to his manager, and again he said no, so I passed the phone to my husband and he told the guy never to call our # again.
Caller name: Don't know - didn't give it
Recently I noticed that my cell phone number showed up on my credit report. It was added when I applied for a card with Lowes. I believe that this may be where they are getting their data. The credit bureaus can say that they don't have access all they want, I know better. I never received these calls until my number showed up on my credit report. Very annoying indeed
They called my house twice telling me I have been pre-approved for a advertising campaign. Then they asked me to sign on to my internet to watch a 5 minute video. ( The first call was out of MS) When I declined the first time and asked what it was about, I was hung up on. (The second call was out of WA) The second time the woman told me she could but it would be lost in translation. I asked her not to call again as their behavior is one of scams and I hung up. Let's see how many times they will keep calling.
Caller just calls my home number and leaves no msg. I called this number and it says that (206) number is No longer in service....So, someone can call me but they block incoming calls.....telemarketing maybe...... no company name - nothing.
Caller name: Scott
I receive an average of 5 calls a day up into the evening time between 8:00 pm- 9:00 pm every day I can't change my phone number because it's connected with my job These people are relentless Please stop them HELP !!!!
This is Scott, Ann, rachael , and other names This your last chance to lower your credit card interest to as low as 0% since President Obama passed a new law making credit card companies lower their rates.
I know this by heart, because these leaches call me every day.
Receiving phone not @ my home, BUT @ PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE, DO THEY HAVE NO DECENCY?
To get suckered in on this is bizarre. on computer, one truck line out of the computer for the land-lines. This is managed by one master spammer who possibly hires a small group of people. Is there no way the Federal Government, FCC or FTC can corral these groups? If the Government can tap the phone lines of the common law abiding citizen (John Smith etc.,) why can't they go out and prosecute these types of people. h**l, they (Uncle Sam) would achieve getting money for our Federal Deficit.
I've several calls similar to this one with the a pre-recorded message about my credit card debt (don't even have a balance on my card) wanting to consolidate my payments. I press "1" to speak to a person and ask them to remove my number and they immediately hang up. My number is also listed on the "Do Not Call Registry" which apparently dosen't mean anything.
Man with thick Asian Indian accent called claiming a credit application was accepted for my minor child. When I informed him this isn't the case he told me that in order to cancel the application we would need put $50 on a prepaid debit card they can send it to the fraud devision, but if we don't...it will be our fault if my sons credit is ruined.
We reported them to the FTC.
Caller name: Washington
The person calling had a heavy Indian accent, using the name "Brad". He indicated he was with Microsoft and my computer was generating errors and he wants to help resolve the errors. He wanted me to turn on my computer, which he was actually monitoring my computer, he would have known it was already on. I simply told him I didn't need his help and hung up. This is not the first time I've received this call, but first from this number.
Caller name: Account Services
This is a prerecorded message telling me to press 1 to lower my credit card rate. If I do, and ask them to stop calling me, they just hang up. They have been calling me almost every day for as long as I can remember.
My phone is on the DO NOT CALL list. That doesn't stop the calls.
The FCC says that prerecorded messages are illegal. That doesn't stop the calls.
I file a complaint on the FCC's online form every time, reporting the caller ID. That doesn't stop the calls.
As far as I can see the FCC is doing absolutely nothing to stop these calls.
I've been expecting a very important call so I answer everything. Have gotten calls from this number several times this month, each time they ask for Mrs. ... and they can't pronounce the last name. When I say "can I help you?" without giving my name they hang up. I have tried to call back but the number is "disconnected or no longer in sevice." WHAT A SCAM!!
Caller with an Indian accent said he was representing Windows Technical Department and told me my computer was sending error messages and had viruses. He wanted me to get on my computer so he could tell me how to fix the problem. I told him I was not at my computer and he wanted to set up a time to call me at home. He was very persistent. I eventually hung up on him.
I got a call from this number saying I have been selected as one of the finalists for a big prize. When I said I didn't enter in anything. And to take my number off his records. He said I am so sorry you don't remember. And asked if he could get some information from me. When I asked him what is the name he has in his record. He hung up on me.. scam!!!

WE GET CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER (WASHINGTON) 206-708-2849 SEVERAL TIMES A DAY, WE DO NOT PICK UP THE 'PHONE, SO IT GOES TO OUR ANSWERING SERVICE, AND GET AN IMMEDIATE HANG UP. EVEN GET CALLS ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS, SOME LATE IN THE EVENING. EVEN THOUGH WE HAVE CALL BLOCKING THESE CALLS GET THROUGH, BECAUSE THEY HAVE AN IDENTIFIABLE 'CALLER' ID, HOW DO YOU GET THEM TO STOP CALLING?
Caller name: ?
I do not nor did not answer the call. I NEVER answer calls outside of my state's area code and sometimes then only if I recognize the number, so I definitely don't answer these kinds of numbers that show up when they call. I'm just sick and tire of them bugging me and using my battery life up!!!!!
My phone rang - I answered and said Hello 3 times before it was disconnected. My phone number is on the DO NOT CALL Registry for soliciting and such. I don't have time for this type of interruption. Someone needs to stop these bothersome calls already.
206-708-2849 called my cell but I did not answer because I didn't recognize the number. The caller didn't leave a message. I get at least four of these calls a week. My number is on the "do not call" registry and is unlisted. These calls are REALLY annoying.
Caller name: Washington
Robocall left message that the IRS is filing suit against me and to call 360-851-1764.
Of course I am the do not call list. This one is pretty convincing and I see how people could fall for this trap. I will report them.
Use this form from IRS, I just did-
